This product and the small town in Sicily where it is produced were the subject of one of the lessons in an online Italian language course I take. Together they seem to be a cross between an appellation controllee and a UNESCO world heritage site. Interest piqued, I ordered one. The chocolate is absolutely delicious. Not overly sweet and the crunchiness Is interesting. Service was fast. Am in the process of ordering more

My wife and I are both long-time lovers of dark chocolate and of chocolate-orange, and we both agreed at first bite that this is something far out the ordinary. The purity and intensity of the orange-chocolate flavor together with the pleasantly gritty texture mark it as very special. I hope that the distributors can find a way to market it at a more appealing price point.

This is without a doubt the best chocolate I have ever had. I don’t know if I can eat any other chocolate again. My husband and I went to Italy on our honeymoon and fell in love with this chocolate but I couldn’t find anything near this quality in the US. This is likely the exact same chocolate we found on our honeymoon and I am thrilled we can order it here in the states.

I've always been a been a major fan of Italian food and desserts but once I read about this chocolate, I had to try it. It does NOT disappoint! Its so good that I'll definitely purchase it again.

This a special chocolate from Modica - please read on Internet why it is very special. Personally this is my favorite and, I guess the only one sold in the USA outside Sicily.

So different from regular chocolate. Crunchy, light, intense bites along with a history lesson about the Aztec connection to Sicily. An unusual and special treat for this family!

I was very excited to see Modica chocolate available on Amazon. I had very high expectations as I have not had this product since living in Sicily. I was not disappointed! The chocolate was just as fresh and delicious as I remember. I will be ordering again!
