⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for Sensitive Skin – Reliable, Gentle, and Travel-Friendly!
The BLUE LIZARD Sensitive Mineral Sunscreen Stick SPF 50+ is hands down one of the best sun protection products I’ve used — especially for sensitive skin. It’s effective, clean, and incredibly convenient! Skin-Friendly: As someone with sensitive and reactive skin, finding a sunscreen that doesn’t cause irritation or breakouts can be tough. This formula is fragrance-free, paraben-free, and packed with zinc oxide, which is a gentle but powerful physical blocker. It goes on smooth and never causes redness or stinging, even around the eyes. Great Protection: With SPF 50+ and broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection, it offers serious defense against sun damage. I’ve used it on sunny hikes, beach days, and even during sweaty outdoor workouts, and it holds up really well. The water resistance is also a huge plus — I don’t have to constantly reapply every time I get wet. Stick Format: The 0.5 oz stick is super compact and mess-free. It glides on easily and is perfect for on-the-go touch-ups — especially on the face, ears, and neck. I always keep one in my bag, and it’s ideal for travel or tossing into a kid’s backpack. No White Cast: Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it blends surprisingly well for a zinc-based formula. There’s a minimal white cast that quickly fades after rubbing in, and it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy. Overall: This little stick is a mighty must-have for anyone who wants effective, gentle, and portable sun protection. Whether you’re outdoorsy, have sensitive skin, or just want something that works without the fuss, BLUE LIZARD delivers. I’ll definitely be repurchasing!

Best sunscreen ever
I swear by this sunscreen. I once never burned while using it, however it comes out very thick and white and does not blend easily with your skin. It also waterproof, so you do not have to keep reapplying it.

Great Sunscreen for Strong Sun
I really like this sunscreen because it provides excellent protection while using mineral ingredients instead of harsh chemicals. I feel good knowing it doesn’t contain harmful ingredients, especially for everyday use. I live in the Caribbean, where the sun is very strong year-round, and this sunscreen truly holds up. It gives me reliable protection even under intense sun exposure. Since it’s a mineral sunscreen, you do need to apply it carefully and rub it in well, as it can leave a slight white residue if not blended properly. Once fully absorbed, though, it works beautifully and feels protective on the skin. Overall, it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a safer, mineral-based sunscreen with strong SPF protection.

It's great stuff!... except when it isn't.
I actually found out about this stuff when my sister bought a bottle and brought it home as this one was being shipped. 🙄 I'm very fair skinned and burn easily. One might say I'm a vampire, though the sight of blood does not excite me. And because of this I'm either covered head to toe 365 a year or drowning myself in sunscreen. Many of them irritate my skin because as luck would have it, nature blessed me with being sensitive, too. To perfumes and whatever else they're putting in other sunscreen. I can maybe get away with putting some of it on my legs and arms, but never on my face. Anything perfume-y on my face and my eyes swell up and shut tight... I look like I'm turning into a fly, no thank you. I was using Shiseido Sunscreen at one time for all over, until I ran out. It worked very well and I never had an issue. Except it's rather costly and it's got a white cast to beat the band. Yeah. I'm talking full-on clown makeup. Still, no burns, no tan. Hallerlujah! So now I've got Blue Lizard. And it's got a white cast, but it's not terrible. It's also not permanent. It actually disappears after a few minutes - which kind of left me wondering if I was covered still. I checked... my skin is slick so sunscreen is still on me. If there's doubt, the gnats return to start annoying me with their presence. I spend upwards of 3 - 5 hours in the pool every day, unless it's storming. The first hour is walking around in the water vacuuming, so my hands are getting more water exposure than my face is. Rash guards from neck to ankle. Roughly 30 - 45 minutes later, the sunscreen that was on my hands is gone. I believe that the bottle says up to 60 minutes water-resistant (not waterproof! Any sunscreen that claims "waterproof" is being deceitful), and I know you're supposed to reapply every 80 for this SPF... but there should be something to let consumers know that water exposure will halve the protection time. Because I reapplied religiously, I never got any kind of sun burn or tan. Somehow my hands magically escaped with my reapplying while wet. But after you let the product dry a bit before you return to your activity, it should work fine. I also had zero irritation - EXCEPT when I went underwater after vacuuming and scooping out nature's little minions for over an hour. This product will run. It will get in your eyes. And it will burn. It doesn't matter if you applied it dry or with damp hands and then let your face dry. If you start sweating or your face gets wet at all and the water goes into your eyes, it's picking up product and taking it to your peepers! This happened so many times over the course of two weeks I thought I was going to lose both of my eyes. At first they just felt dry. But every day it got worse and worse. For this reason I have stopped using it on my face and have started using something else that doesn't run and cause irritation. My eyes were red as fire trucks for over a week, and I have been worshipping the makers of eye drops ever since. The lid changing color to let me know of the UV danger is nice. I don't know how scientifically accurate that is, but it's a good focal for me anyway. So, it's really great stuff as far as I'm concerned. I just know better where to put it now.

Work for very intense sun
This worked very well. I have fair skin and spent 5 hours in and out of the water in the carribbean. I did re-apply it after I spent any time in the water. It wasn’t as greasy as other sunscreens I’ve used. It rubs in very well and lasts for a while in the water.

Great for swimming with whale sharks!
My husband and I recently went to Cabo on vacation and needed some good reef safe sunscreen for some of our water adventures like this one with the whale sharks. It works great, we used it for the whole trip, got zero sunburns and it doesn’t feel greasy and gross, stinky or heavy and pore clogging. It definitely has a stronger white cast than others I’ve used but otherwise no complaints!

I recommend this for anyone who is ultra sensitive and potentially has MCAS who lives in very hot and sunny locations (I'm in Queensland Australia). I have MCAS and struggle to find products I don't react to due to perfumes but I was able to wear this without issues. Just be sure to rub it in as it is does leave a whiteness to your skin being zinc and all.
