We purchased several of these and placed them in various places in the house and I am pleased with the purchase. They look good, are easy to install, make it easier to find the switch in the dark, and in smaller rooms, provide enough light where you can see in the dark (if your eyes have adjusted to the dark).They work best in bathrooms and small rooms that are dark or pitch black when the lights are turned off. In small rooms, if your eyes are adjusted to the dark already (like if you got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom), then these do provide enough light for you to see. But these can work anywhere if your goal is to make it easier to find the light. In large rooms or rooms with other light sources (such as night lights), these do not add much ambient light except directly above or below the switch.In the attached picture, you can see the relative brightness. The magenta night light in the bathroom is much brighter than the light from the illuminated switch, yet the illuminated switch still produces a noticeable amount of light. And this is with walls that are not white. You'd get better results if your walls were white.These switches are also ideal for situations where you have two switches next to each other. For example, in our house, the switch for the fan and the switch for the light are next to each other. We use the illuminated switches to make it easier to find the light switch. That way you or your guests don't accidentally turn on a noisy fan in the middle of the night. Or where one switch controls the porch light, and one controls the indoor light. We used the illuminated switch for the indoor light and kept the old unilluminated switch for the porch light. This makes it more obvious which light is which, especially for guests, if you tell them the switch with the light is the light switch.I mounted all of them face up. If you face the switch with the light facing up, it illuminates the wall and the ceiling above the switch, which gives enough ambient light that you should be able to safely navigate if your eyes are adjusted to the dark. If you have a white ceiling and a dark floor, it is better to mount it with the light facing up. More light will bounce around if you do that.Overall I am very pleased. I'll give it 5 stars for brightness, only because I expected this level of brightness. It is what I expected from 5 LEDs on top of a switch. If you expect it to be a night light, you'll be disappointed. But if your eyes are good at adjusting to the darkness, this actually does produce enough light to see in your bathroom and certainly is better than a pitch-black room where you can't find the switch.

Incredible amount of light for the small area where the lights are. Shines up or down, which is nice so you can orient the switch whichever way you want. The day/night sensor (the tiny hole in the switch) is sensitive. Sometimes walking past will make the light come on, but no big thing. Now I don't have to try to walk around in the dark!

My light switch is in a room that has a skylight but, is very dark at night.I liked this product because i believed it would help at night but not keep the LED lights onall day like some other models (bathroom light switches for instance).My only complaint is that i wish the light sensor was a little better.I sometimes find it on around 3pm when there is enough light in the room.My expectation was that it would only turn on at little (5pm-6pm) to no light.The LED lights are not as bright as advertised but, still good. Actually prefer it because when i get up to use the bathroom at night, the light is not as bright, as say a iphone flash light.

I’m used to light switches installed where pushing to top in turns it on and the lower end to turn the light off. These have to be installed upside down to that to have the LEDs pointing down.They will work well either way.

The media could not be loaded. At night these lights are perfect, though I don’t like that they shine in my eyes at this height. During the daytime, they get very confused if they should be on or off. I really don’t understand how the photo cell works on these, I have tried. They are very bright and an effective for the small size. I’m going to say that they are a pretty good product and I would recommend for anyone who has to pee in the middle of the night or closes the garage door and forgets the light is on a timer or wants to get dressed in the closet without waking their partner.

A few days after installation one appears dimmer than the other but still they work great. Make sure your electrician installs the correctly, my electrician wasn't paying attention and installed them with the light facing up instead of down the way I wanted. Still, they are a great little night light. I plan to buy more for other areas of the house.

We bought this Dec. 2, 2023 and now it’s Sept. 21, 2024, not even a year later, and the nightlight part has already quit working. It was great while it was working. I didn’t have to “hunt” for the light switch when I wanted to turn on the light and, plus, it was a great nightlight for going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I really expected it to last a lot longer than this, especially with it being electric and not battery operated. Very disappointing!

No more missing the toilet. This fantastic light stream lets me aim with precision with the 3am blader relief.This most likley will save my marriage.

Nice switches

This switch doubles as a night light, great for basements, hallways, and washrooms but too bright for a bedroom.Takes minutes to install, and it's advertised as a smooth quiet rocker, It is not, there is a definite clicking sound. Placement is an important factor because of the mentioned bright nightlight and the very noticeable clicking sound.
