Works for charging, earbuds, not data...which works for me. If I connect the earbuds to charging port or the other way around...doesn't recognize. which seems good. I bought five splitters trying to get one that works and I like. I fret about malicious cable possibilities. This one does not heat up or do anything weird that would be indicative of a malicious chip or something in the adapter. It is also so slim I don't see room for a micro SIM . The Apple sanctioned Belken version is $50 and half the size of an iPhone SE; it looks and feels...ludicrously large.
