Dr. SlickCeramic Bobbins

before i bought this i was using a cheaper bobbin with a steel tube and I was constantly breaking my 8-0 and even 6-0 thread, for the longest time i thought it was just me but after i realized my steel bobbin tube was causing my thread to fray, i decided to try a bobbin with a ceramic tube tip. That being said, i was very pleased with the results. I highly recommend you give these a try

Love these bobbins, the 3" length is perfect for tying the smaller flies that I tie. I find the shorter length is easier to control and fits my hands better than the longer lengths. Would recommend these for anyone into tying flies. Great value and well made product.

One bobbin, showing three in the photo, that type of advertising will get a negative review everytime. That said, one is overpriced. Also it did not arrive on time, two extra days.

Very misleading product photo and description. 3 bobbins are shown and description says bobbins, plural. Only one bobbin came in. Very disappointed.

Bobbin works as it should ceramic insert is a nice feature although the false advertisement with three bobbins on the front of the ad is kind of misleading considering I thought I was getting three of them?

Nice bobbin, EXCEPT the ceramic inserts do not appear to be flush with the inside of the bobbin. Thread often gets hung up on the small lip inside and can be a real pain in the butt to get all the way through the bobbin.

Complete piece of junk. Impossible to thread because material gets hung up on the tube inserts at each end of the tube.
