This works great for metal detecting. I like the serrated edge to cut through small roots when you hit them while hunting in parks. Very sturdy and the quality is top notch for the money. Very sharp and the steel and handle have been taking everything I have thrown at it. Great little shovel.

This is the best serrated digging tool yet. To my delight, it is not a flimsy poor-quality metal that bends under strain. It is very sturdy. The serrated edges cut through the roots with ease. the beveled tip slides through the dirt easily as well. This was a great buy for me.

Worth every penny!!! Bought my first one a few years ago. It is well-made, sturdy, and perfect for its purpose. I lost one of mine in a move and didn't think twice about replacing it with the same product!

Edit; After a year of minimal use, I've noticed several issues with the tool. The paint or coating is peeling off, and there are visible signs of rust. Additionally, the serrations were never sharp and do not cut cleanly; instead, they rip and tear the material. Despite these drawbacks, I would still consider purchasing the tool again. This tool is sturdy, well made and should last indefinitely if used with a dose of common sense.. It's also handy for gardening projects when you're not digging treasure. Sheath is well made for keeping the tool close. Very satisfied with tool and purchase.

Awesome digger. Blade has nice thickness and comfortable handle. Comes with holder that is also made good.

The digger has a nice weight, not too heavy but heavy enough to assure you that it is not a cheap diecast toy. The black coating is very nice with a slight texture it completely covers the whole digger it even extends under the rubberized handle. The serrations on the blade are sharp and should prove to make short work of any roots that might get into the way. The rest of the blade has a nice edge which will cut through sod and soil without issue. The point where the handle is attached to the blade has a good weld and the bend where the blade transitions to where the handle attaches is shaped to withstand the forces of leveraging a soil plug out. The sheath is large enough to allow the blade to quickly be removed and inserted and unlike others has a hook loop flap that allows you to keep you belt on when attaching and removing the sheath. I have experience with two other diggers a Garret style knock off and the one that gave this type of digger its name, and I can say that this one will be my go to for the 2020 season and beyond.

This is one heavy duty hand shovel. I love the scissor-like sides for digging and cutting roots that you encounter in the dirt. Quality build! Great that it comes with the sheath!

This product is worth the money. It works very well, and is well built. The grip is perfect and it comes with a sheath to store it in. It’s a good size hand shovel, and again, seems to be very well made.

The sharp and solid blade is great for slicing out a section of grass when the roots make digging difficult. The angled top means you can push it with your foot if you need extra pressure, and the shape means you can cut out a neat 'plug' that is easy to replace afterwards. The curved blade is also good as it can be used like a simple trowel to move the soil around. Great for finding objects in grass or tough ground, and the belt-holder is actually usable, with both hoops and velcro.
