This back scratcher is fairly comfortable to use. The handle is plenty in length but not too cumbersome. Its handle to head is a good curvature and makes scratching your traps/upper back very easy.What stands out is the prongs on the head. The prongs are not dull but not sharp. They feel sturdy enough to not break down, yet dont feel useless. It's complete plastic, so I would imagine the prongs can be sharpened if desired, given proper technique to do so. They're thick enough to handle a slight shavingThe tool is very light weight as well. Comes with an impressive frosted bag to hide it.

This back scratcher is awesome! Seasonal allergies drive me nuts, so I went looking for a scratcher that had a slight curve making it easier to get relief. This is a simple hard plastic scratcher that does exactly that. So good I even bought one for my dog! Now he follows me around in the morning until he gets his scratches in too! (He’s a bull terrier with medium length fur. Not sure if it would get caught up in longer fur.) This also has a short chain attached to hang the scratcher for storage. I don’t think the chain is in the best place. It should be closer to the end.

The curve is EVERYTHING. This thing works great. My only request (as a big guy) is an XL version that is longer so I can reach further down my back over my shoulder. It gets to everything, I just have to also come in from the side. Thanks for making an awesome back scratcher!

Overall this is a very good product and a good use of money. Usually I either scratch with my hand or the edge or something like a wall,, but this is nice if you're sitting or laying down and can't reach a spot easily or don't want to get up. What I specifically like is that the little "points" are pretty sturdy and you can really give yourself a good scratching even through clothing. I thought that it would be extendable because of the little ridges I saw on it, but it's not. It would be nice if it was, although it's my fault for not checking properly. Anyways this is a decent item and so far I've found nothing wrong with it.

The scratcher part is hard plastic rather than bendable plastic. Very uncomfortable, yet anything is less uncomfortable than an itch you can't reach.

I bought this for my sister because lately she's been complaining that her back itches so badly and all the time. I know how irritating that can be so I wanted to see if I could find her some relief. I looked at many options but the design of this particular tool caught my attention. The traditional back scratchers are straight and can sometimes be a pain to use but the curved design makes this one very easy to use. She loves it and it brings relief without being too abrasive. It's sturdy and it seems to be great quality so I see her having it a long time. If you're on the fence, GET IT!

THE BEST WAY for me to describe this back scratcher is….You know how on a Monday night, a friend convinces you to go on a blind date this Saturday night?Of course after the date, you realized that your friend was careful about their choice of words when describing your future dates personality, what they do for a living, what they look like, etc.Now, at the time they tell you about her/him, the date sounds like its gonna be FANTASTIC, right? Then throughout the rest of the week, you start to wonder, “There must be a catch, right”?That basically describes this back scratcher. Although I wasn’t concerned there was a catch.With a price tag of $13.97, I expected it to be “FANTASTIC”! You know, like the blind date Should’ve been!I also expected it would be easy to use with my arthritic hands, because the description claims it’s good for those who are disabled.So when I opened the box and pulled out the opaque white bag, opened the string up enough to pull out the back scratcher, I instantly saw a giant “shoe horn”, which is the full length of the handle just before the bristles, which were at the end.The back scratcher weighed practically nothing, and felt pretty flimsy.It is just single giant molded piece of plastic. SERIOUSLY nothing special.The handle isn’t even a solid piece of plastic.When I gripped it for the first time, It’s shape and size of a shoehorn, caused my fingertips to go directly into the impression of the V-shaped wand of the handle. Which would then cause the back scratcher to turn sideways.At that point, I could’ve just twisted my wrist in order for it to now scratch my back instead of the air, but again I have arthritis.I then gripped the handle a little tighter to stop it from twisting. Unfortunately, like I said, I have arthritis! Even if the handle were a solid piece of plastic, it’s still is anything but extraordinary. This back scratcher can probably be found at your local big city $.99 store, With A price of $.99.Maybe the price could be a little more, but certainly not for $13.97!!! Which was how much I was charged for this back scratcher on Amazon. I opted for the free shipping without being a prime member.Needless to say, it’s going right back to Amazon.I will continue to look for a suitable back scratcher on Amazon. But, I will probably be ordering the standard hand carved wooden Back scratcher, that has fingers at the end which are curved. The ones that have been around since probably the 1940s. I have had many of those over my last four decades on this planet. And they work very well. Just wish they were about 6 inches longer! That is actually why I want to head and ordered this back scratcher because of its length.It’s length is about the only positive thing it has going for it.If you look down the handle, it is shaped like a V. Causing my fingers to continuously slip into the V whether it was because of the shape of the handle or the size of the B, it just didn’t work for my smaller hands. which would, then cause The head of the back scratcher to tilt outward.In order to Stop it from tilting, I had to squeeze hard causing my arthritic hands a great deal of pain.I truly think this back scratcher should continue to be sold at $.99 cent stores. Certainly not for almost $14 on Amazon.

I now have three of these. One in my bedroom one in my living room & one in my travelling bag. It reaches everywhere on my back, my ribs my legs my feet and my head. I’ve tried the little back scratchers with four fingers & they are no competition for this scratcher. Granted it’s a little bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. Not as comfortable to use, the theory of angled handle seems good online but in practical use..not so much.It's kind of awkward to hold and target the itchy area. Other than that, I'm quite happy with it, although I'm not buying it again.I will just get the conventional straight handle for next purchase. Overall quality is good but I rather get something with slight softer brush head or something similar to a hairbrush design which I had use for a long time, just that the handles are not that long for a hairbrush.

I must have tried every back scratcher from various stores the last year and I finally found the one. Yes, it's NOT compact but the permanent attached mechanism is why it works so well, and the bristles have amazing scratch ability, it feels like long nails truly giving you a scratch, perfect for any itch. So happy with it and highly recommended. I do leave it on my bed as I seem to have allergies and get itchy during the night, and it's a bit cumbersome (I just want to be clear here in case anyone buys it and doesn't realise it's BIG), but not in the hand. I have medium to large male hands and think it would be fine for smaller hands also. Very easy to grip and use. Enjoy!
