Thought I'd review this sooner as it is needed right now and not later. Been using it for a few days now and still working as it should. Very sensitive in fact that I took a reading on the side of my face exposed to the sun while driving and it gave a warmer reading than the other side which was in the shade. And another observation - you may get a "hot" reading when you are wearing a jacket which obviously warms you up significantly but which you may have forgotten to remove if you leave early in the morning and arrive at your destination a few hours later when the outside temperature has already changed from cold to warm. Stay safe everyone!

Now that my kids are back in school and temperature checks are required as part of their daily morning routine, I ordered this as an alternative to the ear thermometers that require expensive probe cover replacements every time you use them. I checked multiple reviews before settling on this brand, and did my own "studies" with this thermometer vs our ear thermometer. My only concern is that if you are overheated from another activity, or being outside where it is too warm or cool, it will affect your body temperature, leading to a false high or low. (Example: my daughter likes to snuggle in the morning; this caused her forehead temperature to show a low-grade fever from body heat, even when her ear temperature average was "normal." When I checked her forehead temp. again half an hour later, it was back down within normal range.Definite pros to the unit include the ability to use this as a surface thermometer, too. The memory function that holds up to 99 previous temperatures is great. (I also took my cat's temperature and I swear I saw the screen flash "animal," though I haven't been able to replicate it.)I'd say for the price, speed, and the fact that it runs on batteries, this is a great choice!

I just reopened my business which is an essential business and need one of these to quick read my client's temperature before allowing them to come in. The reading is quick and accurate. At first the reading seems a bit off compared to my in ear and in mouth thermometer but after I adjusted the setting it's perfect now. The device is easy to use too just turn it on and press the reading button and I can get the result instantly. The device also has energy saving feature and will turn off automatically. Overall, I can't be any more happier for my decision to purchase this. This is literally a life saving item to me now.

The product came earlier than expected. After unboxing the product and going through the brief instruction, I installed the batteries that came with the product and start to measure everyone in the family. The scanning is quick and simple. With that said, I want to determine the accuracy of the product so I took out our traditional oral thermometer and did a back to back measure. The result was identical. This gave me assurance that the product is accurate to my oral thermometer. As a added bonus, this will also scan the surface temperature, but my primary usage will be for body temperature measurement.

Got this thermometer a couple of days ago. I found it very easy to use, intuitive, accurate and fast. Readings take only about one second. Anyone can take the temp of a person by placing the front end of the thermometer about 1 to 2 cm from another person, press the trigger and voila, get the temperature reading. There are three (3) possible outcomes of the reading - normal, which is green in color; slightly elevated, which is yellow/orange; and elevated,which is red.I could not be happier with this product and do highly recommend it.
