Got Air Portable Mini Air Compressor, Pump, Inflater

Initial review is terrific. I just received this air compressor two days ago (7/16/2014) so clearly it's far too soon to provide a meaningful review. However, my intent is to update this review monthly at least initially, and will adjust my review accordingly in the hope that it will indeed prove to be helpful. It's just my wife and I at home now so we are a two-car household. Both our cars are hybrids (a 2008 Prius and a 2014 Camry Hybrid). Accordingly, fuel efficiency is of critical interest to us. Both our cars have Low Rolling Resistance tires on them and keeping them properly inflated at 35psi, is really important to us. We bought our new Camry in February and at that time I purchased the Milton S976 Dual Head Chuck Service Gauge - 10 - 160 PSI Tire Gauge; a highly reputable, accurate tire pressure gauge that as of the date this date (July 18, 2014) is selling for $14.27 by Amazon Warehouse Deals which means it's new but the packaging may be torn. I've tested this gauges' accuracy at two prominent tire stores (Discount Tire Center, and Costco Tire Department) as well as two different auto dealerships so I know it's accurate. Over the course of our cars' lifetimes a couple of mpg will make a material difference in out gasoline costs. I will initially update this review on a monthly basis, but if I find our tires are maintaining their pressure then I'll have no need to top them off with this air compressor. If that's the case, I'll update the review regularly when there's anything relevant about the product to report. My Prius is getting new tires today so I had no need to check their pressure. However, on our Camry, all four of our radials were at 32 PSI. I want to run them at 35 PSI. I went out to the car first thing this morning, before the car had been driven and before the heat of the day could affect the air pressure and re tested the tires. Sure enough, they were at 32 PSI. I plugged the compressor's cord into one of the 12 volt accessory outlets and turned on the car's engine as I didn't want to take a chance of running the auxiliary 12 volt battery down while running the compressor. The performance of the air compressor on it's initial use far exceeded my expectation in two respects. 1. It took between 60 and 90 seconds to bring each tire from 32 PSI to the desired 35 PSI, and; 2. the gauge included with the air compressor was spot on accurate for the four standard tires. When its gauge read 35 PSI I stopped the machine, removed the hose from the tire, and double checked the pressure with my own gauge. The readings were identical. A VERY IMPORTANT FACT: The output on this compressor is rated at 14 amps so make sure your auxiliary 12 volt outlets have at least 15 amp fuses or you will risk blowing a fuse using this. If your outputs have 10 amp fuses, I'd recommend spending more money on of the compressors that hooks directly up to your 12 volt auxiliary battery. Still be sure to run your engine though as if you use it for any length of time you could deplete your battery. Neither the Camry nor the Prius has a full-sized spare. They both have the small temporary spares. The spare is supposed to be inflated at 60 PSI. The spare in the Camry was at 50 PSI when I pulled it out of the trunk. I attached the compressor and turned it on and in about two minutes the compressor's gauge read 60 PSI. However, when I turned it off and removed the compressor's air hose and checked the pressure with my own gauge it read 62 PSI. So, it seems as though, with the unit I got, the included gauge is accurate in the 30 to 35 PSI range but not quite as accurate at the higher PSI pressures. This was not a big deal though because all I had to do was release a couple of PSI and I was at the 60. If the compressor had read 60 PSI but the tire was only at say 55 PSI, it wouldn't have been a big issue either. I'd just add some more air, test it with my gauge, then release as necessary. The unit is surprisingly quiet and nice and compact. It fits nicely into the included bag and does not take up much trunk space at all. It's also not heavy or bulky. Needless to say, my first impression is that this purchase was money well spent. It cost me $49.99. There are less expensive ones and more expensive ones too. After a lot of research and reading nearly every review, this unit seemed to get the most consistently favorable reviews. I'm very glad I bought the one that I did. I really don't care about an extra $10 to $25 for an item like this if it's going to hold up and work well because it will pay for itself in less than a year of driving. I check my tire pressure religiously each month and I'll be back in mid August to update this review. It is hoped, that in a year or two, I'll only need to update every six months or so because that will mean my tires are holding their pressure well. Over the first few months though, I'll hopefully find some other uses for it and will have good reason to update the review. Update 7/22/14 Just had new tires put on the Prius. Although I asked the tire dealer to inflate at 35 PSI, when I checked them the next morning, while it was nice a chilly (I live in Western Washington), all the tires were at 32. Just as with our Camry, this new compressor topped them off to 35 PSI in about one minute per tire. It's also amazingly quiet for such a workhouse. I couldn't be more satisfied with this air compressor. 8/22/14: Nothing to report. All my tires held their pressure so I've not needed to use it the past month. I suspect that will normally be the case. Going forward, I'll try to check the tires for some of my local family members and offer to top them off if necessary. I can then report back as to how this compressor it holding up. 8/26/14: Topped off 8 more car tires on two cars for family members. Continues to work like a charm. January, 2015: Been using this compressor at least once monthly for about 7 months now and I'm just as pleased with it as I was with the first use.

It inflates bicycle tires fairly quickly, but car tires take quite awhile and the pump gets very hot (directions state to not run it more than 15 minutes at a time, but I shut mine off after 5 because it was so hot). I have not used it for inflatables yet, but I imagine it would work fine. It is a compact unit and stores easily under the back seat of my truck. I recommend it for light duty inflating, but if you need to pump vehicle tires this isn't the unit for you.

First -I had purchased a cheap little Bell brand compressor from Walmart years ago which was OK, compact but not great for car tires.Plus it jumped around all over the place when in use and I had to hold it. Second - It was time to upgrade so I researched on Amazon and bought ( then immediately returned) a VIAIR compressor. It was an out of box failure with a broken 12volt connector. ( see separate review on that one.) Third - More research on Amazon and purchased this "Got Air" compressor: (1) it arrived on time, undamaged, well packed which was nice after the VIAIR experience (2) seems well made for the price range with the 12 volt connector and air line being adequate to reach everywhere on my Mazda Tribute and Toyota Rav 4. The lengths provided in the product description on both lines appear accurate. (3) The connector to the tire nozzle is metal ( not plastic ) and the air hose heavy duty rubber (4) The carry bag fits everything fine and is adequate for the price paid... (extra tips for rafts/toys etc. are in the side pocket) (5) The operation is quiet and the rubber feet keep it from jumping around all over the driveway or garage. (6) All 8 of my tires on the 2 vehicles were all 10 pounds low each. I filled the first 4 from 30psi to 40psi in about 2 min each tire. (7) I let the compressor cool down in between the 2 vehicles because it did get hot...as expected...just the way it is with compressors. The 2nd set of 4 tires filled fine, the unit did not shut off or overheat. (8) The screw in type connector let a little bit of air out at disconnect but nothing to be concerned about...use 2 hands. I may try to lube the threads next time so it spins on/off better. (9) The air gauge on top was accurate when compared to another tire gauge and the on/off switch worked fine. No complaints so far...I'll try it on bike tires tomorrow....if it ever breaks I'll update this review. I would recommend this product to a relative, friend or anyone here on the Amazon UPDATE - Months later, still working fine. Tried this on bicycle tires lots of times since purchase- works great.

Unreliable. Not worth the money. Bought 3x and each time the unit was defective. Unable to find any information on the manufacturer and it is past the return window and I am stuck with it.

Connections are difficult to take on and off when working with different items to inflate.

I wish that I could include photos with this review. I would love to show the pile of broken pumps that this product replaces. In the last 2 years we have gone through a an air compressor that just didn't have the power and stopped working because it just couldn't keep up with the bike tires and sports equiptment and air mattresses. A $25 dollar foot pump that broke a year after purchasing when the foot lever collapsed. And finally we bought an $18 Hand Pump that, to be quite honest, takes too damn long and too much energy to use. There had to be something better. I recieved my Got Air portable air compressor today. For many reasons this was perfect timing. 1. We are expecting 4" of snow tomorrow. 2. I also recieved our 45" Tube in a Box today that we bought for Snow Tubing / Summer Pool. 3. I can use the air compressor to fill the tube for tubing this weekend. As soon as I took this compressor out of the box I noticed how heavy duty it was. Much heavier than the previous compressor we had owned. I also noticed that the power cord was nice and long making it easy to connect to our in dash outlet and have plenty of room to set up. The connector at the end of the hose was simple to use and connected easy to the inner tube. I turned on my car and the compressor and withing 4 minutes it had readilly inflated a 45" inner tube. This is a beautiful thing. It also included a storage case for the compressor and also multiple attachement for different connections. I have to say that I am thrilled from the get go with this product. It is heavy duty. For the price of $50.00 it is by far a much better value than the other products I had bought and should last a good long time. It was also powerful enough to handle all of our needs. The compact size make this very portable and easy to store under the seat of our Mini-Van. Thank you for making such a wonderful product! I highly recommend.

Got My Compressor Quickly And Tried It Out. Worked Great Inflating Some Of My BikeTires. Quick FillS And Quieter Than Expected. Only Con Was The Bag. Little CheEsy In Quality. One Of The Clips Was Not Even Sewn On. No Biggie.. Needle And Thread Will Fix.

This thing is cool! No more pumping my foot on that junk foot peddle inflator, I recycled that thing. This Got Air mini compressor works great! I already used it on my car tires and bike tires. It is not a toy that's for sure, it pumps the air. So convenient that I just plug it in the car outlet with the long cord. This summer will be a breeze using this to inflate those darn pool floats and toys!
