I gave it 5 for brightness not really sure what I was supposed to score that because too bright on not bright enough are totally subjective I didn't want a really bright lamp. It's a bedside lamp so it's on low most of the time but step it up to take my tablets. It's not bright enough for a 50+ pair of short sighted eyes to read though. I have a 10,000 lumen light for that. The light comes on immediately on touching the base or stem. The base seems to buzz a bit when I touch it but, I don't know if that's intended. It doesn't buzz when touch the stem and I can't hear it buzz. It's a nice lamp.

I've had this lamp for a few months now and am very happy with it. Great as a bedside light. The touch sensitive base is perfect and means you don't have to fumble around trying to find the switch. The 3 brightness settings are nice with the lowest one great for reading. Not too bright, and perfect for late night or early mornings.Would highly recommend.

I like the light but the bulb was broken on delivery. Cut my fingers when opening the package

I bought 2 lamps & one of them started at bright whereas other started at dull.

the video for this product shows when you touch the lamp it goes from bright to medium to low but it is the other way around it goes from low to medium to bright I'm amazed amazon allowed this

Ok to start with but when on a low setting , it keeps flashing. Wouldn’t buy any more
