MOOZICA 21 Keys Solid Koa Kalimba, Single Solid Wood Board Professional Kalimba Thumb Piano Marimba with Learning Instruction and High Performance Carrying Case (Acacia Koa, 21-Key)

This is my second Kalimba. The sound is so soothing and beautiful, it's great for a creative break or relieving anxiety. It's extremely well made and can be labelled with the stickers it comes with for easy note identification.

I absolutely love this Kalimba! I couldn't be more happy with my purchase.It is a pleasure to play and feels like you are holding something of pure quality whilst playing it. The tines produce a full bodied and superbly sustained tone all the way up to the high end. And as well as all this it looks beautiful!If I lost this Kalimba for what ever reason i wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.The hard case that is provided is very sturdy and matches the quality of the instrument.

This is a good quality Kalimba with a lovely sound. I had to tune it as many of the tines were off key but I expect that is normal after transportation. There are no dead tines and although this is a solid kalimba I thought it might be quiet but I love the mellow sound it produces and plenty loud enough. I'm going to enjoy learning how to play it.I did have 2 problems though. This is a 21 tine kalimba and instructions were only given for a 17 tine one. I also couldn't find a music book I could purchase for a 21 tine kalimba so this does cause a bit of a problem with reading the music and the positioning of the notes on a score.The other problem I had was the chain was missing, which was meant to be included in the accessories. I've been unable to contact the seller to see if they can send me a chain, so amazon have had to partially refund me. That was disappointing.I would have rated this 5 stars if the parts were all there and it had the correct instructions for the instrument purchased.

I bought a cheaper kalimba a week or so before this one for £27.99, and that one had many flaws, so I returned it and ordered this Moozica Kalimba for £47.99. There is quite a stark difference between the two, despite the parts/accessories (tines, bridge, hammer) looking like they were probably manufactured in the same place.This kalimba arrived nicely presented, and the inclusion of a hard carry case to keep booklets and accessories in is a nice touch. Tuition booklet and manual is in decent English - unlike the cheaper kalimba I ordered, which was useless; worth considering if you're planning on using the tuition resources provided.The kalimba itself oozes quality; lovely hefty chunk o' wood; clear and bright sound, right up to the higher pitches; no dull or "dead" tines; no buzzes or rattles. It's nice having the note names engraved on the tines, especially for beginners, but I do wish that there was the option of unmarked tines, in case I wish to retune it later on.The vibrato chain is satisfying too, though the effect is lost on the higher pitches, naturally. I tried lengthening the chain slightly so that it hung more over the centre of the tines, but this didn't do any good; the product design is fine as it is!As there's no soundhole then the overall sound is quieter and a bit thinner and less rounded than other kalimbas might be, but it was this sharp cutting tone that I was after, and it sounds great recorded and mixed into my music.Included rubber thumb-guards are a bit rubbish - I think they deaden the sound too much. They'd need to be more solid to be any use, but it was good to be able to try them out.Will attach pictures and a demo video in a day or 2...

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday she loves it. It has a very calming sound. The wood has a great feel to it.

I liked everything about it and am very sorry I could not play it as my fingers are not strong enough

Acheté pour un premier kalimba, et j'adore le son... J'essaye d'apprendre et c'est vraiment addictif et on arrive facilement à faire quelques petits trucs ce qui donne envie de continuer sans se décourager. On peut trouver des tabs sur youtube. Il est joli et semble solide.Par contre si c'était à refaire j'aurais pris un 17 qui aurait été suffisant surtout en débutant.Je recommande

Ich bin sehr erfreut darüber. Ein sehr schönes Instrument. Sehr gute Qualität. Der Klang ist wunderschön. Die Noten sind auf den Zungen eingraviert. Sehr schnell zu erlernen. Die Verpackungshülle sehr robust. Eine Freude.

This kalimba is top quality. The tines are high up so that makes it comfortable to play.The sound (even the high tones) are long and bright.I have multiple other more expensive kalimbas but this is THE BEST!So in love with this kalimba ❤️In the beginning he felt heavy but i’m used to it now.I think i gonna buy a second one for playing in other chords.

Sonido dulce y maravilloso como el de una celesta.Viene en clave de fa, la nota central y más grave es fa (F, 4) y despliega alternadamente a izquierda y derecha la escala diatónica, un total de 21 notas, hasta terminar en mi (E, 3). Las lamas de metal vienen grabadas en dos sistemas, alfabético y numérico. Todas las notas suenan dulces y claras, no hay ninguna sorda. Apenas hay diferencia de volumen entre agudos, medios y graves. La madera maciza de koa reverbera con las lamas de metal, aportando más volumen y un cuerpo cálido al sonido, suena más fuerte que el de otras kalimbas macizas pese a no tener caja de resonancia. La tabla de koa tiene además un veteado muy hermoso acentuado por el barniz claro en acabado brillante.Un detalle que me encanta de esta kalimba es la exquisita suavidad de la curva de sus lamas de metal: a diferencia de en otras kalimbas, no tienen un ángulo en la punta. La curva suave sin arista facilita tanto el acariciar la nota para evitar zumbidos de pulsación como la técnica de glissandos; su tacto es muy agradable.Al carecer de caja de resonancia esta kalimba no permite efectos wah-wah, pero viene con cáncamos y cadenita para un efecto lluvia fantástico.Incluye un martillo de afinación, unas etiquetas en rojo y en verde para marcar notas si se quiere, paño de limpieza, dedales, cuadernillo de instrucciones con alguna canción, bolsa aterciopelada negra, y un estuche rígido para guardar y transportar la kalimba. Es un buen estuche, impermeable y rígido, pero se echa en falta algún hueco o banda elástica que evite que la kalimba se mueva durante el transporte. El roce y golpeteo pueden desafinar la kalimba. Esto tiene cierta importancia, ya que tampoco ofrece ningún hueco para fijar el martillo de afinación; yo no recomendaría meterlo en el estuche con la kalimba durante el transporte.Quizá el contra principal es que, al igual que sucede en la mayoría de kalimbas a la venta ahora mismo, la escala de esta kalimba es diatónica, no cromática: no hay bemoles/sostenidos, faltan las "negras" del piano. No se pueden tocar todas las canciones o piezas, aunque sí muchas.La calidad de la madera de koa, la suavidad de la curva de las lamas, la hermosa dulzura del sonido en todas las 21 notas compensan con creces cualquier posible carencia. Por tacto y sonido, mi kalimba preferida. Muy contentos con la compra.

Tavola intera di legno di acacia.Suono delizioso et intonato.Le disposizioni dei rebbi, partono dal Fa basso, fino al Mi acuto, procedendo sempre a zig zag; Kalimba diatonica in Do maggiore, ma, all'occorrenza, con la possibilità di alterare di mezzo tono la risonanza dei rebbi, agendo con il martelletto che si trova in dotazione.Kalimba, molto maneggevole!!!
