This could be the best flat iron I have ever purchased. I have had nearly every popular flat iron brand over the last 25+ yrs. I have had CHI, FHI, Sedu, Babyliss, Rusk, HSI, and a lot of lesser known brands in between.The main thing I have noticed is that my hair responds best to tourmaline irons, which have been using over the past decade, but they have become increasingly harder to find and more EXPENSIVE. Enter Nition. The last good flat iron I had was a Sedu tourmaline and prior to that Babyliss tourmaline. The Sedu I purchased was used after I tried some generic flat irons which burned and fried my hair. I was struggling to find an iron that my hair would respond to. After some time, the Sedu stopped working and I was back on the hunt.I purchased two other brands from Amazon that were just awful for my hair. I took a stab at purchasing the Nition after reading a number of positive reviews. Admittedly, I didn’t have very high hopes because the price was so affordable (sad, I know). Upon its arrival I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t really get excited about packaging, but wow was I blown away by the presentation. The storage/cooling case and the glove was such a nice touch. It honestly is something that I would expect from a more high-end product. The iron itself is sleek and lightweight with a pretty LED digital temperature control dial at the base. But most of all. The performance is phenomenal. I have fine AA hair that normally does not curl tightly. I can generally get a “bend”, but a full curl is nearly impossible for me. This iron also heats up very fas, so very little wait time. The other thing is my hair is generally pretty shiny on its own, but I have had some irons that have made my hair look dull. This one not only adds shine, but it keeps the frizz away also. Finally, my hair doesn’t feel dried out farted days of daily usage. I honestly love this iron. I look forward to how quickly I can curl my short pixie. It just works so well.I only had one con with my purchase and that was the the temperature control skipped several increments. I could manage to make it work for me, and initially I thought it was a feature, but I read that it might be a design flaw. After three months, I decided I would reach out to customer service about the matter. To be honest, I didn’t really expect to get a response. And since it wasn’t “broken” and I like it so well, I probably would not have been very upset if I did not get a response-but wow. Last Wednesday I emailed customer service about my issue. Within two hours, I got a response back from the after sales rep, Rain. She was so kind and accommodating in her email. She didn’t hesitate to to start working on my replacement immediately, since it was still under warranty. She asked me for some information that I provided quickly and she immediately processed my replacement. I couldn’t believe that Saturday, before 12:00 pm, I had received my replacement. It’s working perfectly. I must say this has to be the best purchasing experience I have ever had. This is the longest review I have ever written, which says a lot because I am usually kinda lazy about reviewing products. I just want everyone to buy this product so that it will always be around! The product is wonderful, but the level of customer service that I received was phenomenal.Well, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. I hope this review helps someone who may be on the fence about purchasing.

I purchased this product in 2022 and had some doubts. But over the past two years, I absolutely loved the quality and had no regrets buying it. I had thick and long hair and have hard time getting strong straighteners/curling irons. The heats controls and smoothness of this product is commendable. It is easy to pack and has enough cord length.Honestly, the lock mechanism was a bit annoying though I liked that it can be closed. After almost 2 years, it broke on me and I asked for customer service. They had very fast customer service and sent me a replacement as quick as they can (actually within 2 days). They just needed me to send a quick video of malfunction which is understandable. I proposed to send it back but they trusted me.Hope this business gets a lot recognition and continues to satisfy their customers. I express extreme satisfaction with their services and their products. :)

I've gone through far too many flat irons, but this is THE ONE!Wonderful, effective product, excellent price, additional amenities.However, beyond the product is the stellar Customer Service that this company provides.I had an issue and my service representative took care of it in nothing flat! Incredibly impressive.Buy this iron for the great product that it is and stay for the Customer Service that they provide!I could not be happier... THANK YOU!

I really liked this flat iron at first. It heats quickly, had a locking feature, and smoothed my hair with minimal damage. However, after only a few months, the locking mechanism would no longer work. This was inconvienent but still workable. But soon after, the plates on either side will now click out of place and apart so that the gap between them does not allow you to clamp onto the hair. It is virtually useless now. I normally would not pay this much for a flat iron but took a chance on this one - a decision I regret.UPDATE: Although I first rated this item 2 stars for the reasons given above, I came back to update and raise to 4 star due to their outstanding customer service. The company, upon learning I was displeased with the purchase, immediately contacted me and offered me a replacement. It was sent out promptly and arrived in just a couple days. This straight iron really does work very well - smooth gliding and one-pass straightening. My only issue with it was the lock mechanism that caused the plates to gap apart and Nition made it right!

I am very happy with this straightener. It feels like an extension of my hand, is light and smooth, plates warm quickly and holds temperature during the entire styling process. The plates glide smoothly, are longer and press evenly along the each hair section. I can easily straighten or curl my medium length hair and when I’m done just lock the plates and securely store it on the pouch.I received this product as a Xmas present and was my go-to styler since then, but on Feb 5 the clamp stopped working and plates were unable to hold a steady temperature. I was able to style my hair straight, no curls. I reached out to Nition CS and after a few hours of starting electronic communications, Rain the very attentive and knowledgeable CSR send me a return label for the styler and started the process to send me a new replacement which arrived at my doorsteps by Feb 11. During the days in between I was kept informed about status of the package and reassured that my straightener will continue to be under warranty. I was impressed with the product itself but now I’m more impressed of the company that did all that was in their power to make right something that was out of my control. It was a pleasure communicating with a CSR that understood the client’s problem and took a very proactive approach towards solving it. Rain is very professional, and IMO a great asset for your company. Currently, I’m back to enjoying doing my hair, having shinny, professional looking results in less time than ever. Five stars all around.
