Silicon Power DDR3 16GB (2 x 8GB) 1600MHz (PC3 12800) 240-Pin CL11 1.35V / 1.5V Unbuffered UDIMM PC Computer Desktop Memory Module Ram Upgrade

Bought 2 x 8GB of this RAM for a PC I built in 2014. Put it alongside 8GB of Cruicial RAM ashtray in the PC, and it works perfectly.

Fitted in an old PC - memory sticks were recognised, and computer is now faster.

Needed some DDR3 for an old computer, and this works fine on a Dell machine.

So it may be a little strange buying DDR3 in 2024 but I needed some decent working RAM for a cheap SIM rig I built with a 12 year old 1156 system. I've had a few SSDs from Silicon Power and they have been perfect so I had no hesitation in buying the RAM from them and the price for 16gb was as good as second hand on ebay. They look absolutely brand new in the box so nothing to worry about there and they run at the correct speed and timings. Absolutely happy with my purchase and would absolutely buy again.

I was looking to extend the life of my old i73770k and I saw that the branded DDR options were around £80 which felt a bit much for such an old machine. Bought these with a gift voucher I had as a punt. I've plugged them in and they work. I won't bother measuring the performance as I'm not that technical it works and I can have more browser windows open and everything runs more smoothly.Leaving this at 4 stars as they've only been installed for 5 minutes so I've no idea about the reliability but so far so good!
