I love these moisture meters for my plants. I have a lot of house plants. I don't water on a set schedule. So I sometimes forget that I watered recently on some. These save me from having to test each pot to see if it is dry. I have checked that these are accurate with a soil moisture meter. After you water the plant the top of the stick turns blue. When the pot is dried out again the stick is back to white. The are about as thick a a pencil. So they don't take up a lot of room in the pot. I highly recommend!

I got a variety of sizes of this product and tested it for all ranges of plants (ferns, aroids, succulents, etc) in a variety of pot materials. In my experience, it is not an accurate indicator of watering needs for 95% of houseplants. The indicator turns white way too soon, therefore you would drown most houseplants if using this as advertised. Unless you have a fern or other plant that likes to stay wet all the time, I would not use this product.

Love love love. However, they aren’t foolproof and they have definitely indicated the soil is wet when it was bone dry all the way through.

Amazing product! I use it for all my aroids and it works perfectly. It even does well in moss!

These are so handy for a new plant parent who has a tendency to love(water) their plant babies too much!
