The GoSharp is a modern twist on an old classic; the classic leather Barber’s Strop. Before disposable razors, a straight razor was common, and it was sharpened after each use using hone stones and leather strops. First, the hone stones would sharpen the razor by grinding down the razor’s edge. Second, a leather strop realigned the razor’s edge to make it perfectly straight. The straight razor lasted forever and the razor’s edge was freshly sharpened for each use. The GoSharp does the same thing. First, rubbing your razor on the fabric side of the GoSharp, it grinds down your razor’s edge using microscopic diamond abrasives. Perfectly size diamond abrasives are embedded in the fabric. Second, rubbing your razor on the leather side of the GoSharp realigns your razor’s edge to make it perfectly straight. The GoSharp is a patent pending design which provides a freshly sharpened razor each time you use it. A freshly sharpened razor reduces the risk of nicks, cuts and razor burn and results in a more comfortable shave, especially for those with sensitive skin. The GoSharp is hand-stitched in the garment district in New York City, USA. Please note, no razor sharpener will return your razor to the original sharpness set in the factory, however, GoSharp will sharpen your blade after each use extending the number of uses you will get out of your razor.

Finally, the solution to my razor bumps
Combining this with the Schick Hydro, and Proraso pre-shave has gotten rid of the razor bumps on my neck. I tried everything under the sun before landing on this combo. The sharpener really works - it's like using a fresh blade every time.

I have been looking for a way to maximize y razors, and this appears to be the answer. I haven't been using it long, But I have now been using the same razor head for about a month and have not had any issues with razor burn or any other annoying issues that occur from a dull razor. I sharpen the razor head every other time I shave and it is working out great! I will update my review in a few months, but I suspect the review will remain the same.

I have been using this product for a while and it is very easy to use. It has cut down on the number of razors I need to buy - why I bought the product in the first place - and therefore has saved me money. I'm very happy with the product and glad I purchased it. 5 stars.

So far so good
I have been wanting to try a strop for my razors. As everyone knows, the refill blades are expensive and I replace them often. I'm hoping that this item extends the life of my razors. So far so good. I haven't had it long enough to give it an excellent rating but I will update when I have used it for a few months.
