Where have you been all my life!?
What a wonderful product! You know when you get off the lift after that first run and you know you could benefit from some tighter buckles? but now they are all stiff and almost impossible to fasten and your spouse and kids are halfway down the double black diamond and guess who is stuck at the top with loose frozen boots...Not you if you get this handy little guy.The added clip is super convenient, one less thing to worry about falling off the chair lift :)

I had to "redesign it to be useful by using tape and some rubber padding to close ...
I gave the Ski Key one stars because its design left much to be desired. The ski key constantly slid off the buckles when attempting to close them. I had to "redesign it to be useful by using tape and some rubber padding to close down the opening so it could grasp the boot buckle without sliding off. I emailed the manufacturer regarding this and received no response. So no, I would not recommend this device. I finally made my own boot buckler by re-purposing a bike tool I use to remove tires from rims.

The best buckler available...period.
I got this for my wife to use out on the slopes when she wants to tighten stubborn ski boot buckles. She doesn't have the ability (and strength) to bend down,and tighten the buckle that pulls your foot back into the pocket for better performance.This simple device makes the job very easy. Unlike other bucklers that are available in the big chain ski shops, this unit fits all buckles. The opening is really wide. It also serves as a boot carrier. Top quality and made in Montana.

Somewhat large and bulky compared with one I acquired 15 years ago.
I have an all metal "stripped down" ski buckle tightener that I love. Small, thin and works well. Wish someone would resurrect the simpler stee (?) version I have had for more than 15 years.This device is functional, but is somewhat large and bulky to carry along on a day of skiing. Otherwise functions well.

It works
I managed to get my boots buckled and unbuckled so it does work, giving me the few extra inches of leverage that I was getting with a can opener. This little tool does the job with less effort than the can opener. The little hook attachment though broke right away so I couldn't hang it inside my jacket; I have to just put it in a zippered pocket so that I don't misplace it.

Awesome little invention!
I recently broke both wrists and when i went skiing for the first time after they healed, I didn't yet have the strength to pull the buckles on my ski boots closed. This little gadget works great to help me close them easier. So good!!

This is exactly what I needed! Must have.
I can never get my ski buckle tightened and it’s always freezing. I love this handy do-dad. It literally is a game changer! I get my ski boots on now with no problem and it even has a loop to carry my boots together. I am also obsessed that it has a bottle opener. Nothing on the market better. Beer and Boots? Beautiful.

For those that struggle
For those that struggle with tightening their ski boot buckles, these make it soooo easy. The fact that they open beer bottle caps is a bonus.
