Great knife, just a little too bulky.
Overall, this knife is very good. I have been a strong supporter and buyer of CRKT knives for over 10 years. The Cruiser was going to be my next EDC pocket knife. I currently carry the Crawford Kasper, and love it, but I was ready to try something new. I read about the knife's dimensions and was expecting it to be comperable to the Kasper in both overall length, blade length, and closed length. In that respect it met my expectations. What was disappointing was the knife's width. I was expecting the grips to be similar to the panels on the M16 knives, but they weren't. The grips were much to thick and carrying it in my pocket was not as easy. I was pleased with the ability to change the attachment point of the pocket clip to be able to carry the knife tip up and this is what was drawing my away from the Kasper. But the width and the friction between the clip and the grip scales was too much. It was difficult to draw out easily and felt very bulky while carrying it. The blade was sharp. The finish was great. And the lock-up was very sure. Like I said at the beginning, this is a great overall knife, it just didn't work well for my application and for an EDC pocket knife for the way I like to carry. CRKT make some excellent knives. Besides the Kasper (favorite right now), I would also recomment the Triumph and the Ryan. All three are great in their own respects. Good luck on your knife quest.

Really great product. Too bad it does not come in orange and include a glass breaker.
This is a very cost effective serrated flipper knife that has a manual blade lock open lever. CRKT has a similar knife that automatically activates the blade lock when it opens but that mechanism has comments that it fails. This one is manual, does not appear to be anything to fail. So on this knife, once it is open and you slide the manual lever forward it has two locks engaged, making it less likely to close on your hand. Given the shape and orientation of the blade and the size and configuration of the handle this is clearly intended for self-defense; seems like a great knife for this purpose. Not such a good knife to carry as EDC unless you have large pockets and don't mind such a thick and heavy knife. For a less than $20 self-defense knife to sit in a drawer, pursue or glove compartment I don't think there is any knife that I have found that even comes close to this knife. As a car knife I imagine the serration would rip right through a seat-belt. If they made this in orange with a glass breaker it would be an unbeatable product.

Knife that works like it should.
So I hate being this person, this knife is fantastic and probably deserves 5 stars, but I had to bump it down to 4 because the order I received was incorrect. I ordered the model with the black handle and stainless blade, but received the tan handle/black blade. Clearly the color does not affect the performance of the knife, it's a personal preference, but it bothers me that the order was not fulfilled correctly. As I said though I really like this knife, it has a good weight to it, and is a bit on the large size, but it fits in my hand well and opens & closes easily with the thumb assist. With a reasonable price, and a good track record from previous CRKT products, this was a no-brainer.

Solid knife for the price!
Picked one of these up based upon the review, as I was under the impression I lost my Ka-Bar that I was currently using as an EDC. The knife is pretty slick. The blade is insanely sharp. Shaving sharp in fact. I really like the handle as far as how it feels in my hand, however it is pretty large and doesn't sit too comfortably in my pocket. The speed opening system is a little quirky right now as well. It only flips open about halfway. Knocked off 1 star for those two issues. If the blade flips open a littler easier after getting broken in, I would probably bump up to 5 star. For the price, you really can't go wrong.

Reasonably priced.
Way too thick and handle heavy. Rough and stiff liner lock. Requires pretty exaggerated flip to deploy and not get hung up at 80%. Enormous pocket clip negates all grip on that side of the knife. Thumbstuds too close to scales and too far from pivot to easily use... act more of a back-up feature to the flipper. The big clip is kind to pants pockets though. Attractive blade geometry but no sharpening choil means only the tip will be kept sharp. Secure finger choil. Many knives I would recommend in the alternative, but because people aren't fans of this you can find it dirt cheap and so long as your expectations are low, it might be worth it on a whim.

Great knife, was unfortunately sent the wrong color
For starters...I didn’t revive the color that I had ordered in the first place. I ordered black and received a tan knife. Which is why I’m giving a 3 star rating. I had read that someone else had been sent the wrong color knife and I was hoping it wouldn’t happen to me. I love this knife. It fits my hand perfect and shoots open like a bat out of hell. But....I just can’t bring myself to give a 5 star rating because they keep sending the wrong color knife to people....

This knife is big but its not too big as some of the other reviewers say. At least for me this knife is both comfortable in the hand and to be honest in a bad situation it could come in handy. Overall this is s good utility and self defense knife

Good quality! Heavy feel.
I bought this knife in October of 2013. It came in desert handle with black blade. Took a while to get used to the balance point in the handle and not really near the pivot. I was used to the M16 style before this. The handle feels thick for an edc, but that's what it's been for me for the last 4 years now. It's a solid knife and I can confidently recommend it.
