Fireplace Blocker 30-Inch H x 36-Inch W Blanket, Small

I never knew I needed one of these until I realized there was a cold draft coming from the top and bottom of the fireplace a couple of years ago. The blocker significantly reduced the cold draft in my living room. I'm also glad these were available in several sizes. I do recommend purchasing additional magnets to provide a tighter seal as the blanket only comes with a total of five magnets; three on one side and one on each perpendicular side.

I got what I expected, but this is probably priced five times what it should be. I would have liked one a couple inches larger, but this will fill my needs.I purchased to block a thru wall fireplace and for that it's good. It's sold to block draft or something and I'll that's garbage, this thing isn't gonna save you much on heading bills you would do better with plastic and tape.

The fireplace blanket fits perfect. I find the magnets do their job...haven't had it fall or not want to stay in place. Also feel it helps reduce the cold air coming into the living room. We have a gas fireplace and I'm very pleased with it.

A value purchase.

So this blanket works as advertised. My fireplace is in my family room with vaulted ceiling. When the fireplace is not in use, the room is especially cold since all the heat goes to the ceiling. After installing this blanket I could instantly feel a difference. No draft. Before the blanket was in place you could feel the cold air blowing in from the bottom vent. Now, with blanket and additional magnets, no draft and warmer in the room overall. You will definitely need additional magnets. Once I figure out the best spots for them, I will stitch them in permanently.

This works excellent for keeping heat from the house from going up the chimney at night after the fire has gone out, and the flu still has to stay open. Very flexible, magnets work on my metal mesh fireplace screen, perfect fit for my fireplace. 5 stars.

Grossly overpriced. Not enough magnets and fits poorly. Not a great solution for blocking vented fireplace drafts.

There are not enough magnets going around to make a good seal. For the price there should be magnets on the bottom which are missing. It’s like they forgot to sew them in. So your going to need extra magnets. Other than that it works fine. It could be a heavier material which would be perfect.
