The zippers work well. It fits everything he travels with. He uses the bottom section for combs, nail clippers, extra razor blades, etc. and the top section for bulkier travel size items. Good quality leather for what it is. Good size, Good zipper quality. Did not notice any smell. Supple but sturdy leather. Can fit a lot ( ie: shaving items, tooth brush, toothpaste, a comb or brush, bottle of after shave , etc). Every man should have one of these. Makes a nice gift. Good quality for the price.
