Nearly, if not just as good as bits 8x the price.
Thought I'd write a review since there aren't many on this Kowood line, and so far I've used 90% of the bits in the case pretty heavily, so I'd like to write my take on it. This is my first purchase from these guys, so I can't speak for the other sets like the 24X and such.Firstly, I make easels, taborets, and repurpose other furniture hardware for art studios, which means I'm working with hardwoods usually 50-100 years old, so I like my bits to be sharp to say the least. Firstly, Kowood did a good job on the case, every bit is secured and well presented. Usually router bit cases are flimsy with crap hinges at best, but this case is solid, exactly what you see in the product pictures. Now for the most important part, the bits themselves. I've used all the bits so far except the carving, keyhole, panel pilot, and the slot cutter, and they performed excellent. All cuts were clean, and I've abused most of them on slabs of cherry, walnut, maple, and mahogany for hours in a single sitting. They retain their edge fairly well, and every bearing held strong. I usually use Freud Diablo bits, and this set matched them on every cut, which is amazing. I was on the fence ordering a well known brand 26 piece set for nearly 350 dollars and decided to take a chance with these guys, and I'm happy I did.

Top quality, great price
I was looking for a new set of bits to go with a new router that was gifted to me, these caught my eye and I am completely blown away by them. They came packaged really well, the wooden box they are in is beautiful and really sleek. I usually throw away plastic boxes that tools come in but this wooden box is staying. The router bits themselves are solid with lots of carbide on them, they easily compare to any name brand bit at a great price. One more reason I went with this set is they have all the essential bits and not many extras that never get used. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent starting kit.
Some reviewers compare these favourably to costlier brands. I haven't the experience or economy to try this. Why I purchased these was because they are described as the top line of Kowood, whose products I see readily available on Amazon. For jobs remote & in the shop, I have been running these in my Dewalt 20V, fixed and plunge bases. They make very pleasing results for my purposes, which are amateur crafts & finish carpentry furniture. Frankly, this is the only product I've purchased from Kowood, so I can't compare the green to yellow series. From my experience, I wouldn't want to 'downgrade', so I do hope the manufacturer produces some alternative green sets with different profiles — and I would sincerely appreciate 1/4" shanks, since that's all I'm equipped for. I've swapped bearings between different edge-bits ; there are two included hex keys fitting the retaining screws. It's hard (they're screwed in tight), and occasionally I find a screw that is a little bent, but I keep each screw paired with the threaded shank it came out of, changing only bearings, and have had happy success. Again : is this easier with more expensive brands? Probably — you pay for precision tooling. As to how well the bits cut, I have no complaints. They are extremely sharp, and I've seldom burnt an edge, which incidents are likely just user-error. Some of the shanks are tightly seated in the box (which is of very nice quality), so its best to avoid just yanking on the bladed head. Likewise caution when turning the bearing retention screws, which, as mentioned, can be locked on quite tight the first time. I do hope Kowood understands the investment I've made in their product, and in the future offers more bits of this quality. Its obvious why there exist expensive 1/2" shank products, catering to fine production woodworkers. Nonetheless, there's no reason why amateurs can't approach those shapes, at a slower pace, with 1/4" shanks in less powerful routers. Roundovers & coves are great, and Kowood has provided a good starting selection in this kit ; but browse through, for instance, Freud's catalogue, and you'll be blown away at the variety available. If Kowood could assemble quality bits for this fair price, then they could certainly itemize their products, allowing us to purchase individual shapes to our liking, for less than the $40/ starting price of any Freud. So, I am only thankful to this seller ; when I got a router, I needed a selection of bits, and this set was my choice. When today & tomorrow I need a new shape, then I hope Kowood steps up to the challenge.

Inexpensive, solid router bit set
I did some research on router bits and found these on Amazon with the good reviews and great price. I'm impressed with these bits. I used a round over bit last night and it cut like butter. Considering that the similar red bits go for four times as much, I would buy these if you are in the market.

Nice bits for the price
I have only used a couple of the bits with a Bosch palm router. The are very sharp and seem to retain there edge. Made nice clean cuts on semi-hardwood.

Excellent quality . well packaged
I have only used one of the bits so far; but it was extremely sharp and did a great job. The bits are nicely packaged in a wooden box with accurate labeling and images of the shape resulting from the use of the bit, making bit selection easy for the novice (like me).I'll repeat the warning that another rater provided: as noted above the bits are very sharp. Use caution removing them from the box.

Decent bits but shanks breaking less than 1 year in
I really enjoyed this bit set for almost a year but while the bits are holding up the shanks are starting to snap. I'm not sure what is causing this but it's a big disappointment. Hoping to fish the shank out of my router without damage to the router.
