The only thing is if you are doing a large project... it's difficult to keep the lines straight (like if you are doing a wall) because you have to first paint the wall a light beige or eggshell color. Then you need to mix your wood color paint with glaze so that the paint won't dry too fast when you are using the rolling tool. So in order to paint a wall you will be stepping up and down on a ladder multiple times and it will take several hours. Plus it's hard to line the tool back up where you left off when you step down from the ladder to do the bottom part of the wall. It's labor intensive for a large wall but not for a smaller project. If you use the Faux Glaze in your paint it will slow the paint drying down so that you can go over your design multiple times. I only used 50% paint to 50% glaze which allows you to do 1 1/2 of a rollers width (or two large rubber tools and one small tools width to give you an idea) on a wall at a time. The more Faux Glaze you add to your paint the longer it takes for the paint to dry. The faux glaze is expensive though - $15 for a pint depending on the brand you buy. I used Behr Faux Glaze.
