Quiet and powerful for my 180 gallon aquarium
I have a 180 gallon freshwater aquarium in my family room and so I needed a powerful air pump that was quiet, and this meets both of those requirements. It’s been about six months and no problems at all. Highly recommended especially for those with really large tanks like mine.

Great
A bit larger than most but not impossible to deal with. As everybody says it's quiet as hell though. I only want one air line so I put a valve on one end and plugged it and started running it to test the volume and it was loud as hell. I was unsure what people were talking about. I forgot to place the 2nd airline so I connected that and I actually had to feel the motor to make sure it was working it's so quiet. Definitely worth purchasing.

It's quiet, puts out a lot of air, a good value!
Pros:- Just like all the other reviews say, this is a quiet air pump. It's not silent but puts out a small hum that's difficult to hear, even if you adjust the output to the max. It is however the quietest air pump I have ever come across.- It puts out a generous amount of air, enough to power sponge filters in my 60g tank and 5g shrimp tank simultaneously. My aquatic pets seem to appreciate the extra airflow and water movement.- It doesn't seem to generate much if any heat. Some other air pumps I've seen have a noticeably warm sensation on their housing, probably from the vibration of the diaphragm inside. This pump says it's magnetic, there's no vibration and you can barely tell it's on.- The build quality seems solid, as of this writing I've had it on for three weeks, 24 hours a day, no issues so far.Cons- It's a little larger than other air pumps but that's a small trade off based on what it does.- A little expensive but you get what you pay for.

Quiet and adjustable. Can suit a multitude of needs, from low-flow tanks to those in need of high O2
Absolutely perfect little guy. In the lower range it is barely audible (this is what I use alongside a sponge filter for a 10gal betta tank, as they live in relatively still water). At the mid/high range, it can produce a lot of oxygen.I currently have one air tube connected to the Hygger dual sponge filter, and the other to an air stone in a glass on the same shelf (for a quick way to see whether there is air being pumped or not, when looking from across the house or in the night. I did this, for a visual reference, in case the pump ever up and dies on me when out of hearing range (which is not far with this quiet little guy)

Comes with valves and air stones
Overall, I am very happy with the Hygger Small Quietest Aquarium Air Pump. It is very quiet, even when both outlets are open. I can only hear the sound of the bubbles in the water, not the pump itself. The pump is also very powerful, and it easily provides enough oxygen for my 10-gallon aquarium. The package includes everything you need to get started, including two air stones, two valves, and two air tubes. I was pleasantly surprised to find the valves and air stones included, as they were not mentioned in the product description. The only downside of the pump is that both outlets need to be open. You cannot close one outlet and use the other. This is not a major problem for me, but it is something to keep in mind if you are looking for a pump with only one outlet.Overall, I highly recommend the Hygger Small Quietest Aquarium Air Pump. It is a quiet and powerful pump that is perfect for small aquariums.Pros:Very quietPowerfulIncludes everything you need to get started (air stones, valves, and air tubes)Affordable priceCons:Both outlets need to be open

Powerful and can be quiet
This pump is really powerful and the adjustable flow rate is really nice. I purchased it to replace two "whisper" pumps that were powering a sponge filter and a bubble wand. At the lowest flow rate, you can barely hear anything at all. Unfortunately, while it's enough to pull water through the sponge filter, it's not enough to push air though a 14 inch bubble wand. The more you turn the flow up, the louder the pump gets. However, at at output that I think approximates the two pumps I had powering the filter and wand, it is significantly quieter. At full power, I'd say it probably about the same, maybe even a tad quieter. But, it's much more powerful than the combined output of the two "whisper" pumps. The cost was about 2x what I paid for the other two pumps. Factoring in that it's adjustable, more powerful, and can be significantly quieter, it's well worth the investment. Time will tell regarding durability. I read some reviews that stated it wasn't really adjustable, in that there was really only about 2-3 levels encountered when turning the knob. I didn't find this to be true, and experienced a significant degree of control. You will want to use both outputs of you want quiet operation, so plan on two airstones at the very least.
