The bar is very sturdy. The material feels very solid. The counterweight is awesome. I use water bottles and put it in the bag that is provided. Overall great value.

This thing is a beast! In my home studio I've only got for normal sized stands there pretty much come with strobes that aren't the best quality and then I've got two heavy-duty ones that I purchased. Until I can make a little more money with my photography one of the area's I cut Corners is with my scans. Because I invested in linzess first and then by the time you buy your backdrops you're sinking equipment your strobes or softbox is excetera excetera you can be $10,000 in the hole. And I went over that. But I do have great lenses to last me many many years to come. I have a few nice Kate backdrops that are on decent stands and for my strobes I have not the best dance. But until I can invest in a good set of stands which is next on my list I wanted something that I could do overhead lighting or help with product photography. This was perfect! Let me tell you this thing is of great quality. Also instead of buying sand or whatever to put into the pouch that comes with it my wife has nice little 2 lb dumbbell weights for her aerobics that she never uses they were sitting in the closet and I just put one of those and the pouch. No fuss no mess. And they are absolutely work perfectly! I really love this and I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're hesitating. Don't! You will love this!! WORKS GREAT!!

The whole build quality of the pole is great and is metal and holds the weight of my COB Light with a Lantern Softbox. My only major concern is the knobs to tighten are plastic and the mount to connect to my C-Stand is also plastic so I’m worried that overtime it’ll break, crack, etc. But so far I haven’t had any issues and I like that it comes with a Sandbag to counter the weight and I still recommend sandbags on the C-Stand as well

This boom seems to be a decent quality for the price point. I do want to point out however that this arm does not have a threaded tip, so a bowens mount will be required to hold anything. ALSO- in the product photos, the sandbag appears to be filled, however it is not. Still worth the purchase imo.
