For those who like music, but dont particularly want to read a great booklet supplied with the CD, which informs....
Apart from the usual handful of poor quality tracks on these cheaper compilations(ONE DAY MUSIC), this is a good, solid CD from the 'Real Gone' label. If you are a prolific collector of 'old record labels' then most of these tracks will be in your collection Freddie Cannon, Danny and the Juniors etc., however this type of collections always throws up some intriguing artists, Billy and Lillie (Swans answer to Micky and Sylvia) Ronnie Dawson, Diane Bailey, The Saturday Knights, Rochelle Johnson....and some horrible (no really, horrible). So if you don't visit record fares regularly and you quite like schmaltzy rock n roll, white pop with some novelty thrown in, from the late 50's and early 60's then this is worth a listen.

Two Stars
Apart from Freddie Cannon it's pretty dire! Danny & The Juniors help a bit. Surely most collectors haveboth of these two artists recordings by now and look for something inspiring amongst the rest. Not therefor me.

Good overview of an important
Good overview of an important, if not exactly major Philly label. Some tracks are mini-masterpieces, and some are nearer the other end of the scale. Would have liked the CDs to have been annotated on the disc other than Track No.1 etc., But at the end of the day it's the sound that counts.
