Birding Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend: More Than 75 Prime Birding Sites (Birding Series) Paperback – Illustrated, February 1, 2007

We had an evening and three full days for our bird watching trip to the Corpus area in March of 2022. This book helped us use that time very effectively. The list of specialty birds and other key birds at each location helped us find spots where specific birds we hoped to see were likely to be found. The directions for how to find each site were clear and easy to follow. The description of different locations at each site helped us pick where we wanted to watch at that site. We're planning a return trip for more birding in the Corpus area, and this book will be among the first things I pack.

I would have liked to see more pictures, but the book served the purpose. I will be able to use it for my upcoming trip to the area later on this spring.

Birding Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend: I really love this book, it has given me many birding sites right near to home, many I already knew about, but many I did not. The only thing I did not like about this book is that I was hoping for color pictures of the birds so that I could keep track of the birds I see and learn how to identify each bird. I'm sure there is a book out there that does this. I do like this book very much, the lack of color pictures is the only complaint I could have about it.

I have been to this area several times and this is an excellent guide to find great birding. I want to go back now and explore some of these that I was unaware of before. The ones I have been to had great info and target birds.

If you live in or around the Corpus Christi area and love to Bird, this is the book for you. I live in Victoria which is 2 hours away but we are in the Corpus area often and had no idea some of these places actually existed. A Friend of ours, knows the author and told me about the book and i'm so glad he did.

Although this was a little out of date, it is an awesome tool to see some great birding. I structured my time in Corpus Christi based on what I wanted to see and locations and found it outstanding. So glad I purchased it!

I was very excited to see this book because my family moved to Corpus Christi and wanted to become familiar with birds in the area. You can imagine my disappointment when there were no pictures in the book. Who ever heard of a bird book without images?

This will be invaluable when I return to the Corpus Christi area - wish I'd had it a couple years ago when I was there.

Generally good despite age, could use better maps.
