Worth it
I have been using this bulb for nearly a month now, and I am SO glad I purchased it! I have never used light therapy before, but I never want to live without it again! I spend 20 or 30 minutes per session but less than ten minutes on any one area, so for example I might spent 5 minutes lying on my stomach with the light centered on one shoulder blade, then 5 minutes with it centered on the other shoulder blade, then 5 minutes with it shining on my lower back and hip joints, then flip myself over and shine it on my upper chest and neck for thyroid and thymus health, then finish with 5 minutes of light on my abdomen. I get in about 5 sessions per week. I had a lot of shoulder pain, back pain, and hip pain that have all improved considerably since starting this therapy. The warmth from the bulb is instantly soothing on stiff and knotted muscles but this therapy is much more effective than a heat pack! I sleep better because my hip and shoulders don't ache as often from lying on them. And I am able to exercise and stretch my hip more effectively because it is not so stiff and knotted and painful. I am also seeing improvement in my hypothyroid symptoms, though I'm not sure how much of that is from light therapy and how much from other treatments I am using for that. I look forward to my light therapy sessions. I feel so relaxed and happy during and after one!

Therabulb works for me!
Living in a cold climate, Therabulb was recommended to help combat seasonal depression. After the first use I was hooked. Love the radiate warmth and overall feeling after using it. To soon to tell if it relieves pain but I feel more alive. Have used it about five times now. Still love it. My husband has started using it as well and he says it makes his stiff joints feel better. I've even started using it on my elderly dogs with hip and leg pain. ( Yes I do cover their eyes so they don't see the strong light.) Both seem relaxed after just 10 minutes of use. I bought a brooder heat shield to protect the bulb and to protect the heat of the bulb from getting on anything that could cause a fire. It gets HOT. Now I'm looking for a heavy stand to support the bulb and heat shield. The only drawback is I wish I'd known about Therabulb sooner. Glad I hound it now!!

A winter lifesaver
I got this because I read that NIR is healthy and because it sounded comfy to sit in front of a hot light in winter. I don't have any particular health issue or injury that I was trying to fix.It was difficult to figure out some way to mount this appropriately, but I finally figured out something workable where I have it in a clamp lamp attached to a tripod originally meant to hold an LED work light. I have it oriented so that it's shining down on my hair/face/shoulders, but without shining directly in my eyes. I was surprised at how well the infrared energy transmits even though the bulb is about 2 feet from my face. For the first couple of minutes it doesn't very feel warm at all, then it feels comfy, and after 20-30 minutes my face starts to become uncomfortably hot and I have to at least move the light so that it's shining on the other side of my face. I like the feeling of reading while under the light; it brings back some of the feeling of reading on a sunny beach, even though it's winter.I was pleasantly surprised that the bulb doesn't seem to transmit heat to its housing all that much. I have it in one of those big metal clamp lamps, and after 30 minutes the metal of the lamp is only moderately warm. I was worried that it would get hot enough that I'd be at constant risk of burning myself, but it doesn't. The heatsink quality of the clamp lamp probably helps.I like the light a lot. It's definitely a good way to make winter a little more bearable. I wish that I could find a better way of mounting it somewhere; my jury-rigged setup is only barely acceptable. Also, apparently these bulbs are dimmable, and it would be useful to have this attached to a dimmer so that I could turn it down rather than completely off once it starts to get uncomfortable.

Best investment for my health in ages!!!
I ordered my TheraBulb to have a second one for my dry infrared sauna after purchasing the first one a couple months ago. I use two tension poles (40"-72") in each front corner to hold the lights which are placed in brooder light bulb holders with cages to protect the bulb...A.K.A. flood light holders with ceramic sockets and clamp-on clips). It was ordered at 5:15 p.m. Saturday...and arrived on the next day, Sunday, by the USPS, at 3:05 p.m. FAST service and packaged very well. I have used the first bulb for healing and pain, as will this be. I will be just using two, now. I have rheumatoid arthritis and circulation issues and it has significantly helped my level of pain in a short time. I also use it on my face (with protective glasses) for smoothing fine lines. My face has never looked so good...and for a 69 year old woman, that is saying something. The heat is soothing and the NIR rays must be helping with my circulation, too. I am so thrilled to add this to my far infrared sauna!!! Great product! Good service!!!

Intense
The outcome is awesome! The application and process is intense. Heat even at 12 inch distance is intense. I literally feel the tissues and cells regenerating. I have used my Therabulb to heal an injury I experienced last year. Worth the investment. I also have a high pain threshold.
