Decent quality at a good price
Purchased to help tidy up my garage which was starting to look like an untidy landfill site. Very easy to assemble (once I got off my backside and got my rubber mallet out of the shed) and fairly sturdy once all the components were in place. I’m not sure about the claimed weight capacity but for the stuff I’ve put on the shelves they are more than adequate. In fact I’m so impressed that I’ve ordered another 2 sets of shelves which are due to arrive next week.

Great shelving unit for livingroom, bedroom or garage.
TOP TIP - IF YOU HAVE NO RUBBER MALLET USE A SMALL PIECE OF WOOD. I had no rubber mallet so used a small piece of 1 by 2 wood which I placed on the metal shelving before whacking into place with a hammer. If you do this on a rug/carpet you'll put most of it together on your own. You make two separate parts and then attach them together by the metal clips provided. You can actually have two small units although you'd need 8 more plastic guards for the top. When attaching the two separate shelving units you will need an extra hand. It is possible to do this on your own if your strong enough to hold the weight but be careful. From time to time the metal clips might slip through to the outside. If this happens, you can easily pull/push the clip back through by using a small piece of wood then hitting it with an hammer. You can then use the wood to bend the clip so that it passes through the middle of the slot and is secure. Do NOT assume you can allow some of the clips to just rest on the outside, this will snap the clips and the shelving will collapse. Once the unit is together and ALL clips are neatly connected into place, the shelving unit is fantastic and although 175 kg is possible, you'd need stronger MDF to prevent sagging. You will not be buying this to hold car engines but it will take a small fishtank and obviously even bigger lizard and reptile tanks. Whatever you use them for you will tidy things up and actually be able to find things and be more productive.Fantastic for any hobbyists. A place for everything and everything in its place. Second unit I have purchased and latest one put together in 20 mins. (first one took a few hours)The galvanised units are just as good but tend to get dusty and need polishing. The coloured units look great, good enough for living rooms, bedrooms and obviously garages and sheds. Because the shelves are adjustable you can can custom build it to suit your needs. The paint job really is a good one. I was surprised at the quality. One other tip, when you attach the two separate parts together you use 4 metal clips which secure the two shelving units together. IF your clip goes on the outside, you can use a small screw driver to hold the metal clip in the bottom shelving unit. Otherwise it might slip and you might get a bit too bossy with that kitchen paper covered hammer.I told you to use a small piece of wood! All in all the shelving units are cleverly designed and even if your DIY skills are pretty poor you'll get it up eventually and whether it takes 30 mins or half the day, use some wood to cushion the blow. If you have a rubber mallet, congratulations, your already ahead of the game as most of us have no rubber mallet. I suspect those who snap the actual clips on this are using way too much force. One last tip, you will have five pieces of metal which fit in the middle of the shelving units to secure the MDF shelves. This needs the small protruding metal clip at the end pushed over to 45 degrees. This enables it to slot into place using the slots provided. As always, make sure those clips pass through the centre of the slot and do not protrude on the outside.Tools needed: Hammer, small piece of wood, small screwdriver (to rebend clips if needs arise) and a few cups of tea. Patience also. Gloves would help but I never used any.Holes on the top of the shelving unit so you can secure the unit to the wall. This might be a good idea if you have kids around. Rugrats soon learn how to climb and obviously, any weight up there could topple down. Secure if there is any chance a child might stray.

Frustrating and flimsy
These shelves look good and the basic principles of assembly are sound - although the instructions could be better. There is no explanation of what to do with the final cross pieces which in the end I worked out fitted vertically across the shelving to tie the two sides together by bending and inserting the metal lugs.Assembly is even more frustrating because every time you move a part assembled piece some of the lugs will jump out and need reconnecting. This happens even after using a rubber mallet to bang the lugs into place. For this reason I would recommend putting the plastic protectors on the uprights before you do anything else!Once assembled and in place in your shed or garage this shelving is pretty good - just don't overload it, and NEVER try and move it again!

Sturdy garage shelving.
Once two oldies got the hang of the Krypton factor we managed ok. I think anyone would need someone else to help with the initial process. We are very pleased with our purchase. Looking good in the garage.

Was what I expected, photos looked good on line but not what I expected
I liked the overall description and delivery was quicker than stated. However, not really impressed with the product. Expected a sturdy frame and shelves, the way described but not sturdy, shelves very flimsy.Certainly would not withstand anything even marginally heavy. Was disappointing, expected better.

Once put together the shelf does stay relatively well
Once put together the shelf does stay relatively well. Upon building it you will need a mallet. In addition once the shelves are on goodluck taking them out. Accidentally put one shelf crooked and sliced my finger trying to take it out. Besides the temporary blood and a bit of cussing everything else went smoothly.
