I have wanted something like this for 20+ years... Really fun toy if you're into this sort of thing.
I'm in my late 30s. I have memories of seeing someone with a bird that flew on its own in the park when I was a child. I think his was a wind-up. But it flew by the same principle: wings that flap. I always wanted one. This little bird surprised me with how much fun it is. It's like a drone that is much harder to control, meaning you don't get to choose exactly what it does, you are at the mercy of the wind. I tried it inside my home, which is not enough space and without wind, it's very difficult to change elevation. You really need to use it outside, or maybe a gymnasium. You can tell it to go left or right and speed up or slow down the wing flapping speed, but the wind pretty much determines where this thing is going to go. It's basically a battle against the wind to keep it out of trees, backyards, etc. It's like a kite with no strings.I think it's a blast, but my kids get frustrated with it. It feels extremely fragile, so I know it will break easily. It looks like a parrot flying around. My wife says it looks silly, but I think it almost looks like a real bird at times. I've even had flights where butterflies and sometimes other birds briefly fly around it.A word if advice: if you're going way too high or headed for a tree, just shut off the wings, it will almost always gracefully glide down like a paper airplane. You can even turn on the wings just before it reaches the ground and it will recover most of the time. Sometimes the wind is just too strong to make it go where you want, so killing the wings can be a life saver.

My cat loves it
This is a cool toy. My one cat can’t get enough of it. She chases it around until she’s panting. My less brave cat watches from afar.I use it inside. It’s kind of challenging to fly manually indoors so I mostly use the preset buttons. Circle to the right, circle to the left, figure 8. And then slight adjustments up and down until it’s in striking distance of my cat.I wish there was a way to get it back into the air after my cat bats it to the ground but I haven’t been able to so far.It comes with two rechargeable batteries for the bird that you can swap out. And the controller needs its own battery.

Great toy, just way too fragile.
These are great toys and very fun to play with, however they are very fragile. I bought two of these. The buttons on one of the remotes failed and I had to get a replacement. The day after getting the replacement the second bird we have broke it's button that turns it on and off when the bird landed on the floor. Seems like the electronics are very fragile probably to lower weight for the toy to fly so well.

Very very fun!
I am having an absolute blast playing with my remote control flying bird! It can fly really far away and I need to learn how to control it so I don't have to go retrieve it in one of our hay fields.I definitely recommend, it is just amazing to see this bird fly! That being said...only one of the two batteries that comes with it, works. The 2nd one will charge, but it just doesn't work on the bird. I don't know why. The other one works just fine. Hopefully they will read this and replace the unworking battery. Because I wouldn't even know where to buy a battery like this. They are unusual. Never seen one before.

Fancy flying bird
My grandson earned this over many weeks of doing chores, homework, etc. He really likes it but thinks that the remote control should be more fine tuned. It has survived a couple of weeks so I would call it durable. I thought it was pretty expensive, which is why it took him so long to earn it. Time will tell how durable it really is. I have to say it’s very pretty and fun to use.

My grandson loved this!
I have found that these look good and work at first, but quickly something on them breaks. Fortunately I bought the warranty and we have sent it back to be replaced, but it is time consuming with snail mail.

Very fun
I originally bought this to play with my cat outside but I ended up enjoying it more for myself. Yeah, the battery's only last 10 minutes on a good day but it's still fun to fly around. Unfortunately the wind took mine way too high up in the sky and I got stuck in a tree. So be careful where you fly! Either way though, this bird is very sturdy and will not fall apart when you crash it.

Fun for older children and adults
This bird does fly! It is definitely an outside toy. It flies high and far and doesn't have a small turning radius. This toy would not be good for small children as it is very lightweight and sensitive, but older kids, teens and adults would really enjoy it. Pros: It comes with just about everything you need, including an extra rechargeable battery. There is even a screwdriver included. You will need a couple of AAA batteries for the remote control. It is well packaged with a box that you can use for storage. Instructions are very good. Cons: It takes a bit of practice to learn how to control it, and the sensor that is supposed to keep it from crashing into things is not very sensitive. Needs to be used outside.
