Nice red dot for the money
I own several Athlon scopes and have been very happy with them. I bought this as a replacement a different brand that failed. The Sight works great and it's tough to beat Athlon's warranty.

Better than what I expected
I really love this red dot. Accurate right out of the box. Big field of view and bright dot. Looks good on the AR. Only thing is it big but that why you get a better field of view. Not really that heavy. I’m going to buy a few more

Not recommended
Sight picture is amazing and not as bulky as i thought it would be. My problem is i can’t adjust it. Came broken and the anti fog is non existent. Fogs up quit a bit. I don’t recommend this product.

initial impressions - 2 thumbs up
Initial reaction... received it from Amazon without issue. unpacked it, battery installed powered up and wow... nice optic! got it mounted and headed out to get it sighted in... Performance is flawless in the initial outing, zero adjustment was easy and without issue. So far, I would not hesitate on acquiring another... if I remember, I'll add more feedback once I've had it a while.

Great Well Built Optic
Love this red dot. It's just as good as my Holosuns and EOTech red dots and looks like it can take a hard hit. Holosuns are small but as reference, the Athlon is smaller than my Vortex Strikefire with better all performance. Pros: It's built like a tank. Auto on feature is great. Has a giant coated objective lens that provides a very large and super clear field of view and perfect height for co-witness on irons. The brightness buttons are close to flush on the body, perfectly placed and easy to quickly adjust. Holds zero (only experience is on a soft shooting 11.5" gas piston gun)Cons: It's built like a tank- thus a little heavy. Biggest flaw- the ocular lens (rear glass) which is large is almost flush to the eyepiece so there is no protective cover. It gets dusty quickly and I treat it with extra care to protect it from damage, which is the only reason I would not use it as a duty optic on my throw around guns. For those wanting a huge field of view, this is the optic for you. Add a little more protective cover over the big lenses and it would be the best red dot optic for the money.

Love the size but returned it
Loved the big view on this. Clear glass with no tint, they did a great job in that. But like previously mentioned by others there are some issues that I couldn't get past. 1. No lens covers provided. The big lens almost requires you get some covers, it else you will have a dirty eye piece. 2. The coating used causes some backwards reflections in dark lighting. Not a big deal but def a thing. 3. The mounting hex screw snapped on mine when installing it a second time. I returned it but that alone made me move on. I love the optic but can't trust it. It's almost perfect but the hw provided is cheap and a no go. I suggest one go romeo 7 as alternative to this.UPDATE 12/29/21So I gave it another try partly because I really enjoyed the glass, fov & size to weight.I returned the old and ordered a new one. The new one went on with no problem. The screw held up and didn't snap like the last one. With that in mind I upped this to 4 stars so far. I'm hoping that the the other unit just had a bad screw. Although I do not plan on removing the sight, I can't help but wonder if the screw will break eventually.Going to test it will update this if it does.UPDATE 01/28/22So... Yeah... Returned it. Found hat the windage and elevation adjustments to are not documented. Even in the manual... I also found that the dot is just barely daylight bright on max. The cons outweigh the pros, so I had to send it back.Hopefully the next version is better
