Mexican Train Dominoes

Excellent set of quality dominoes for Mexican Train. I read a lot of reviews for domino sets that came in a nice aluminum case, but the quality seemed inconsistent. And playing with friends in our neighborhood rec center we also have seen a lot of poor quality tiles that are hard to read. Then I came across this box of Mexican dominoes by Pressman that had only 14 reviews, but they were pretty much all excellent. The price was not the cheapest, but considerably less than the sets with fancy cases and gimmicky center pieces. So I ordered them, along with two sets of plastic trays to hold them. Plastic Trays / Racks for Jumbo Sized Dominoes, Set of 4 The dominoes themselves are excellent. They have a nice quality feel, the dots on them are large and uniform, and the colors on them are also uniform and not smeared in any way. They are really a pleasure to play with. The box also contains a simple, flat black plastic hub and eight colored train markers, and a good set of instructions; but you have to look for the instructions. There is a thin cardboard liner holding the dominoes in the sturdier outside cardboard box. The instructions are placed UNDER that thin cardboard liner, so you have to remove the dominoes and take out the liner to find the instructions. It would have been better to have them placed on top, but that is a small complaint. The plastic trays that I bought in the same order are also very useful and add to the pleasure of playing, although they seem very expensive for what they are. It cost more for 8 plastic trays than it did for the dominoes, although both are made in China. The illustration for the trays shows dominoes held vertically, but they are not very stable that way. With four rows each tray will hold 24 dominoes horizontally, which is plenty, and the slight tilt makes it easy to see all rows. I also find it is easier to see how the dominoes will fit together in a train with them lying horizontally on the tray. If price is important you might want to look at the wooden trays that are less expensive, but heavier. We had gotten into the rut of watching TV together every evening, which isn't great quality time. Now with the dominoes we find that we can enjoy doing something that is equally relaxing, but leads to a lot more interaction and conversation. Well worth the price.

Nice quality game and fun to play.

If you love playing games you have to play this game. It is difficult to stop playing when you are having Fun!! The reviews are very helpful with so many sets of Mexican Train Dominoes to choose from. This set is compact - comes in a box, variety of colorful trains, bright dots, dominoes are thick and sturdy to prop them up and directions that are easy to follow. We played with our grandchildren and children this fun and challenging game. Making memories. My daughter who loves playing games wanted to buy this set after visiting us.

Played this game with some friends last weekend and enjoyed it so much I had to get my own set. The first set I got (not this one) came in a nice case but the colors were so dull- mostly varying shades of gray- that I found it hard to distinguish between the different numbers. I returned that set and purchased this one instead. So glad I did! These tiles are thicker and the colors are very vibrant. This did not come with a metal case like the one I returned (although the cardboard box is pretty sturdy) but it is so much more enjoyable to play with high quality tiles that are easy to identify. If the case isn't important to you, I'd highly recommend this set.

We love playing dominoes train to Mexico. My in-laws introduced the game to me and I really have been looking for a nice set. My husband and I own two of the double fifteen dominoes, but the qualities are low and the colors are dull. We are so happy to find this set. Love the colors and the quality of the tiles. Although there are some similarity in some colors but overall is a great quality product. I wish you sell these in double fifteen as well. Thank you so much! :)

Excellent tiles. The colors are very easy to distinguish from one another, unlike many other sets. The only issue is the package. Since it’s only in a cardboard box, the tiles tend to fall out. This would be a perfect set if they included a case that had a zipper or some type of closure like other sets have. Note: this set does not come with racks.

My family loves this game! It’s strategic and fun with a new twist on regular dominoes! Give it a try. Great for parties and family gatherings.

Overall it's very good, vibrant color of the dominos. The only thing I'd like to have is a nice piece of train station. The one comes with the package is a very thin plastic piece, almost like a sheet.

Purchased another brand but sent them back because the dots were all the same colour. Looked everywhere and finally found the perfect set. Great colours,size and quality. Everything fits in the box. Highly recommend the game and seller.

the product is ok, there are few tiles that is not perfect, some are chipped and some colors doesnt matched.. not that fussy about it.. overall its fine and we can still enjoy playing.
