My truck needs 10 stencils. 2 Car kit has only 8 stencils** A: Yes. Numerous customers have told us they did their entire vehicle using one stencil. We use commercial sign grade vinyl (not consumer stuff) and it is very durable. **Q: if you have tints is this an option or you would have to etch the inside of the glass if you didnt want to remove tints?** A: Most tints we have seen are plastic films on the inside of the windows, or rarely there is a tint embedded in the glass such as at the top of a windshield. Personally I have never seen tint on the outside of glass. In any case, if there is a plastic type film on the outside of the glass, it can't be etched. The etch cream will not react to plastic. It would not be practical to etch the glass on the inside. **Q: Can this be used on rims as well?** A: Sorry no. It is for glass etching only. We are working on a kit for etching aluminum rims but no eta is available. **Q: is it easy to use, can you mess up and ruin or spot the glass? or pretty easy?** A: I found it to be pretty easy! Just take your time and follow the directions it turns out great. One thing, don't try and put the stencil off until you have cleaned the etch off. I dabbed the etch on instead of brushing it on. I ordered the product and I can confirm that this is indeed the case - the stencils were no problem whatsoever. There was a tiny piece in the 5's that I had to move out of the way with a paper clip, but it was very easy. It was already punched out - all I had to do was just move it out of the way. I recommend gently moving the tiny pieces away before peeling the stencil off the backing. Normally I wouldn't even bother, but I am a stickler for detail.That said, the etchings came out very crisp and look professional and clean.The kit is very simple and easy to use. The instructions are very thorough and easy to follow. Overall, I am very glad that I chose this product over a more expensive alternative.It is also worth mentioning that the stencils and etching cream are easily reusable.I only recommend that before etching the VIN into your car's windows, you think about where you want them and make sure they're all nice, even, and level. I'm glad I thought about this before I etched my glass.Additionally, I have found it very helpful to move the stencils up and down while peeling them slowly off the glass, to make sure none of it gets left behind on the window.Once again, easy to use product, and a 15-30 minute job.
