Great product (depending on your needs)
I like this monitor arm a lot. It looks good, and has a very small footprint (I use the "bolt-thru" mount option). It's not perfect, but it suits my needs well. It doesn't adjust as easily or as well as the Ergotech Freedom Arm (which I also own and like), but it has a much slimmer, understated profile. I would recommend the 7Flex if you don't plan to do lots of daily adjustments (besides moving it forward or back). As others have written, the tilt mechanism isn't great. It doesn't move smoothly, creaks, and can take a minute or so to get the monitor level. The Freedom Arm moves much easier, but has a larger footprint (I purchased the grommet mount) and looks much bulkier. Both are good choices. Just depends on your needs and setup.

Doesn't hold its position but I can still use it
I bought this to replace an old 7Flex that wasn't able to support my 19" monitor. I only needed the up-and-down part of the arm, and didn't need the rest of the materials. After installing it, it had no problem supporting my monitor. However, it would go directly to the highest position and when I pressed it down it would go right back to the highest position. I got with tech support and we went through all of the steps to adjust the arm, and it still stayed at the top. The manufacturer said that they'd send me a replacement arm if I sent them my Amazon invoice, which I did. This was back in early July 2019, and they never sent me the replacement arm. Fortunately the monitor lines up with the top of my other, bigger monitor, and I've gotten used to looking at the monitor in the higher position. So I survived the experience but I was disappointed that (1) the monitor arm didn't perform as represented and (2) they didn't replace the arm even after I sent them the invoice. But I'm moving on because I've adapted to the deficiency.
