Great for group therapy sessions with adolescents!
I was a little apprehensive getting this because I saw a lot of reviews saying the instructions and the game itself was a bit too complicated, but I played this with one of my DBT groups (age range 12-17) and they really enjoyed it! It was a great way to get everyone talking and to open up a little more about themselves, and the competition aspect made it fun for them. I think it would also be great to utilize in individual sessions and in a non-competitive way as well, especially for kids who are a little more shy and reserved. Would definitely recommend!

Great Questions for Teenagers
I've had many great moments getting to know my scholars as a school social worker providing counseling services! The questions are interesting, thought provoking, and not corny like some other get-to-know-you type games. It work fine 1:1 and great in a group! Highly recommend!

Great tool for therapist to use
This is a great tool/card game to get the conversation started around these tough and sometimes awkward topics. I love having a game/tool that I can go to in order to help with easing these conversations with clients. The cards are smaller in size then I thought but other than that it is awesome to use with clients.

Easy and fun
Played this with my teenager and boyfriend… got them talking!!! However the cards get repetitive real quick, so even though it was fun we don’t really see the point of playing it over and over because we already know most of the questions from playing once.

Family fun, but we don't play by their rules
We are a family with 6 kids and ages ranging from 5 to 12.This is a nice deck of cards in a cardstock box. The cards are normal thickness, with clear printing, and I think maybe some plastic coating which should help with longevity. The box and directions suggests you go to their site for video instruction, which is not available at this time. There is a card which suggests putting the deck in the middle, the players go around the circle and turn cards over. When the brain colors match the players try to answer the question on the opponent's card faster than the question on their card can be answered by the opponent. Whomever is fastest gets the card. The player with the most cards at the end wins.In theory. What really happens is that it's too hard to read the card, or players just say any random thing that may or may not be accurate, true, or related to the question shown. Then fighting ensues about how the answer was not to the correct question, not nice, not finished before the other player finished, etc.So we tweaked the game and played it several different ways. Where one person flipped the card and picked another to answer. Where everyone answered the question. Where one person flipped the card and everyone wrote what they thought the person would answer, then we compared that to what the person actually wrote. Where you were dealt a hand and one card got turned over from the deck, if you had a matching brain you could play the card and answer, the person out of cards first won. These different versions were much more engaging and fun, and actually resulted in a much more pleasant experience in general. We are also thinking it would be a great road trip game.Granted, these questions are not especially deep or threatening, but that makes them great jumping off questions for further discussions and we found that often our family or small group of friends enjoyed the followup conversation more than the actual question on the card.

Fun Game for social skills
Fun game, some of the directions were hard to get the kids to understand but overall it was great! Used the game for a recreation therapy group and will be using it again!
