I am a doctor and need to visualise nail beds; can you stick a finger between the lens and foot plate and focus on the nail bed?

The gap between the two is 1.75 cm. I can get a finger under but not my thumb! There is no focusing mechanism other than moving the specimen towards and away from the fixed lens. Afraid I do not think what you have in mind is suitable for this item..

Can anyone add a pic taken through it looking at a coin please?

How good is the build quality and the quality of the lens?

Hi The build quality is very good, its solid and feels well made. The lens is quite good I use it for looking at stamps and it does a good job the only real negative is that the led lights are on a push switch, you push once and the white leds light but when you push again the uv leds light but in daylight you do not see them so I have left them on many times without noticing.

I have one of these Lupes but the light wont go on now????

My light still fine. Maybe battery or led may need changing
