Red Car Green Car Hardcover

This is a good book for kids around the 18-24 month mark (and likely beyond). My daughter has enjoyed pulling and pushing the sliding pieces in this book. I only gave it 4 stars because some of the cartoons illustrations were a little too cartoony to the point where my daughter wasn't sure the lion was a lion (and she has never mistaken a lion for something else in the past).I did not ding it any stars for this, but if you are of the Montessori mindset, not only does this book have unrealistic/cartoons pictures (which I am usually just fine with), but it also anthropomorphic the animals (such as a lion driving a car). I have to tell my daughter "that's so silly, lions don't drive cars) when we read it.

This is quickly becoming our 2.5 yr old son’s fav book. He likes sliding the tabs to change the color of the cars. As a unique feature color shades (for example, salmon, red, crimson & burgundy) are in this book too. This is one of the best books on colors available.

Bought this book for my son when he was 2 to help with color recognition. He is now 3 and still loves this book. It’s very simple, but he really enjoys the color changing interaction. It’s well-built and quite sturdy, and my son hasn’t damaged it yet even with heavy use, but I would still hesitate to give it to a younger child who is very rough with books due to the pull out parts of the book.

Not only is this book cute and colorful, but it is very sturdy for little ones who are still learning to be gentle with their books. Children love books that "do something" and this is a quality book for showing colors. It doesn't have some artificial story, it simply talks about the colors! I gave it to my grandson when he was only 18 months and the books is still intact and he loves to look at it and change the colors.

my son's favorite. It is the second time I buy this book that is how much he plays with it. I would recommend as a gift or for your kids.

I immediately knew this was going to be my son's favorite the moment I took it out of the box. This would be a keeper for any child who loves cars. The pulling tabs that change colors of the cars are awesome! I'd buy this again as gifts.

My 2 year old loves this book. He does need a little help pulling the flaps though.

I bought for my baby so obviously he’s too young right now but I still read to him. I think he’s love it when he’s older. It’s the most interactive book he has. Love the different colors.

My grandson adored this book when he was a toddler, amazingly it’s lasted long enough for his little brother to love it too. The flaps pull down coloured panels to change the colour of the car. I’ve now bought another copy for my great-nephew! It’s a very sturdy book, still in excellent condition after about three years of use. Highly recommended.

The media could not be loaded.  Really fun book. Each page has a different colour theme, car one one side and other items on the other side. All the cars change colours this way. Very interactive.

Really love the book BUT colour as spelt color. I suppose it is my fault for not noticing as it is on the cover. Great book but just a shame. Might get out a sharpie
