This remover works pretty well. I wear waterproof, smudge proof mascara and it does remove it but can leave some behind at times. I use it with a cotton pad and find that it works best it I hold it on my lashes for thirty seconds before wiping off. It takes the rest of my makeup off great. It has a slightly oily residue but it will soak in quickly.

I have tried pretty much every makeup remover from high end that are ridiculously expensive that don’t do what affordable Garnier does. Taking off stubborn waterproof mascara is a breeze with this. It doesn’t irritate my skin and there is no perfume smell that makes my eyes water. A couple of squirts on a cotton pad and it removes all your makeup with ease leaving your skin feeling clean and soft. I will never spend big money on a makeup remover when you can buy this for such an affordable price and get amazing results. I've never used micellar water for taking off my makeup or cleaning my face. I actually thought it was some kind of water LOL but it's a nice lightweight oil and it takes off makeup really easily and I and I wear waterproof mascara and I have always have a problem with that but it works great
