Hymns - Super Easy Songbook

Using this book, our kids have been able to learn to play hymns on our piano without any training at all. The letters are written in the notes so that you can get used to identifying the notes on the scale with what it is so that you can start playing other songs not in the book. The only complaint I have about this book is that it doesn't have Victory in Jesus, but most other great hymns it has.

I really like this book. Great for a beginner. However the more I use the books in this series, I realize that I am unsure how/when to add the chords with left hand. I end up playing with just right hand.... So thats a negative. But I've learned songs and enjoy playing. I just need better left hand information.

Looks like I will be able to play most of these Hymns . I have a keyboard and I'm not very skilled on it but the fact that the cords are shown clearly I think it will work for me. The only thing I wish it had was the second and third verses of the songs, not just the first verse..

Super easy is true. This book may be good for someone just learning to read music - key is printed inside musical note. Also, only treble clef and one note melody. Please allow shopper to open music books so that we can judge level of difficulty prior to purchase. The Christmas song book I purchased was described as easy, but it offered challenging arrangements for beginning student. The challenge for this book is to write my own arrangements I suppose.

If you’re a beginner, like me one year with simply piano app under my belt and I did not find this “super easy “.

I guess it is probably my own fault but I didn't expect it to be just the right hand notes. I wish it had said Fake Songbook on the cover of the book. There are chords which shows the fingering for different chords which is nice if that is what you are looking for. I guess I just didn't read the description very well.

Clear printing and easy to understand, definitely worth buying, not been playing long so a good motivator to carry on learning

This book is nice but not super easy. I have no clue what to play with my left hand... I wish they wrote out the left notes.
