I recently purchased a car windshield umbrella, and it has made a noticeable difference in keeping my vehicle cool during hot summer days. The umbrella is easy to set up and fits perfectly across my windshield, providing excellent sun protection. I appreciate how compact it is when folded, making storage in my car a breeze. The material is durable and effectively blocks UV rays, preventing my dashboard and seats from getting overheated.

I have owned one of these before and wanted to buy a second one for my wife's car. She loves it. It is like a windshield umbrella. Easy to open up to block the sun from penetrating your cabin, but also can be quickly stored away. I am a happy customer.

I have owned three of these types over the last six years. The sun here in Colorado is hard on your vehicles in the summertime. The reason I gave this product only four stars is this, the metal black hinges bend & break. The end of the metal tips tear though. I used small pieces of black duct tape to cover the tips. The great thing about this shade is that it really helps keep out a lot of the heat from the sun. Also, I do not have to worry about the shade from cracking and spreading those flakes all over the inside of my car or truck. Finally the price is still right in my book.

This is a good idea in theory, but when I opened it the first time, I undid the strap that holds it together when it's folded up and it wasn't attached. It looked like it hadn't been opened before, but the strap separated so easily that it makes me question the quality since that should be the most basic part.It unfolded and refolded fairly easily, but with so many moving parts I think I will stick with the traditional sunscreens that are difficult to fold, but reliable. If one part fails on this sun shade, it's going to be unusable and there are a lot of parts to fail.Also it came with a velvet case instead of the leather/pleather case that is shown. This seems like it would get very dirty/dusty if it's just living in my car, but that's not a deal breaker necessarily, just a bit inconsistent from the pictures.

It’s a perfect fit for my 2016 Honda CRV. I don’t have any trouble opening it, just do it slowly so you can fit it into the space behind the rear view mirror. The handle is flexible so it doesn’t push into anything on the dash. It’s reflective umbrella material, black on the inside. I was tired of fighting with the accordion style sunshade that I had before, it was hard to flatten the folds against the windshield. The only negative is that it definitely doesn’t fit back into the original sleeve it comes in but it’s still a lot smaller than the old sunshade I had. The pictures I took are in full Florida sun, it really blocks the light.

So, whether or not it is user error, in the end I had to purchase something else, and is that not the most important part of a review, whether or not your money is better elsewhere? This item really SHOULD work, but in the end it doesn't fit the windshield like the pictures show. It has a lot of trouble with my rearview mirror, and only took 2 days, a total of two total uses, for the umbrella prongs to start poking through the fabric causing eye-poke hazards and lessoning its effectiveness.Overall, it does work. For a car with no AC, we noticed a slight decrease in the amount of times we opened the car and it was over 100 degrees. That feels like a win. However, there is no way these umbrella prongs will survive the first summer. There is no way to put this thing back in its little case after use, we have tried multiple times, and the little holster doesn't see much use when we are usually toss it in the back and put it back up after ending our driving. In a car with AC I can see how this might help keep the car cooler, longer.However, at the end of the day, I don't see this lasting long. It is enough of a hastle that ADHD/depression brain has already skipped using it at times and it is rappidly decreasing in quality as it degrades and I just had to buy a different product as a replacement. I love the idea, but surprise, surprise: opening an umbrella in a car is not ideal. It might work, but I wish I had spent this money elsewhere.

First my Santa Fe Windshield perfect and easy to put up and fold away. Good sturdy product with thick material and looks great from the outside and in. Works great to keep the Florida sun out.

I ordered this for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma. I misjudged the size of the windshield. I ordered the larger 57" which ended up being too large to even force-fit. I also tried in our 2023 Toyota Rav4. It was still too wide, but it fit a bit better. In the Rav4 I was at least able to force-fit the shade and tuck it under the sun visors.As another reviewer mentioned, the sun shade is a little smelly at first, but it mostly came from the storage bag. I popped open the sun shade and left it in the living room for a day or two to air out. After that, I set it up in the Rav4 for a few hours of direct sun. When I came back and opened the door, I could still smell the "new car" smell, and not much of the chemical smell from the sun shade at all.The umbrella ribs are a little on the flimsy side, but pretty much what I expected from something so light. It collapses into a small size, not much bigger that the cheap emergency umbrella I keep in my roadside bag. It's also pretty easy to set up, once done a few times.I will definitely order this again when it goes back on sale, but in the smaller size this time!
