Draw What?! - Epic Party Board Game

I bought this game on the recommendation of my eldest daughter who happened to be told of a "dirty pictionary game that would be perfect for our upcoming girls weekend; just an FYI my daughter is well over the legal age limit. There would be about twelve of us going so what could be better than a party game? Though this game was shipped in the typical brown amazon box, the game itself was also wrapped in black plastic. I am guessing this is in case a younger person was to open your shipping box as the back of the game has questionable material for young minds. The game is played in teams where each team has to guess what the person on their team is drawing or acting out. Other teams can steal if the team who is drawing does not guess. All teams get to guess whenever anyone from any team acts out a card. Be ready for some very strange drawings and acting! There is a website where you can get the definition of what some of the sayings on the cards meant as a lot of us did not know what the saying meant; like jelly doughnut...so naive we were. This is definitely not a game for those who are offended by sexual content as this was the premise of the game. Hysterical? yes! Odd? yes! Friends peeing themselves from laughing so hard? Yes! Would I recommend this game? YES as long as you are not offended by this type of context. I would recommend getting extra wipe off boards as the one that is provided is not one that is of great quality; each of our teams had their own boards and markers.

First of all, this game is very well made. The game board, little butt plugs, cards and white board are all very sturdy and are of high quality, not flimsy at all. We learned through trial and error that the white board is best erased with a dry paper towel and it works great. The instructions for the game are clear, but my husband and I wanted to tweak it for two player, so we initially played normally at first but overy tI me it evolved. Charades (or act out) for a lot of the cards is nearly impossible. How do you act out strawberry diesel? So eventually, we altered the game play so that when you move, the opposite player (or players, we've done this with a crowd too and it was a big hit) draws a card for you, and tells you that you must draw the prompt on the respective color you land on in 60 seconds. For example, player a rolls dice, gets a three, lands on a purple space, and player b tells them to draw "meth head" in the allotted time. The drawing must make sense, it can be a clever visual pun, and every player must approve or player a must move back to their previous spot. This has worked for us but I'm sure original game play is a lot of fun too, we have just yet to try it with four people. The online dic*-sho-nary is helpful and is basically like playing raunchy Pictionary. We have a lot of fun with this game.

This game is great overall! I own pretty much every popular adult party game and this is probably the best one in my collection. At first I was a little iffy because I didn't know what some of the terms were and figured a lot of my friends wouldn't either so I thought that might make it hard to play the game. It did end up being a little awkward in the beginning but in those instances you really just need to employ a little creativity (i.e. don't focus on the sexual nature of the term, just focus on the individual words). The game is hilarious once you get the hang of it. It's also well-made with a sturdy board, cute game pieces, good quality cards and even a good sized white board/marker combo. The price is higher than many party games on the market so that might be a point of contention for some, but you are paying for more than just a deck of cards so I personally think the price is fairly reasonable. My only real complaint is that there aren't any expansion packs (that I've been able to locate..) so at some point it will stop being fun once you go through the cards enough times...you can only draw/act something out so many different ways. A smart business move would be to start putting out expansion packs ASAP in order to remain relevant in a time where these types of games are popping up pretty regularly..just my opinion.

You can tell from the box that this game is for people who are not squemish. It is like cards against humanity but with you drawing out your card and your team guessing what it is. A lot of fun if you are comfortable with the people you are playing with. A lot of the terms are things that I have never heard of, but you can look up the meanings. I find the ones you need to act out to be most amusing. We've played this a couple times and had a blast. We even pushed our pieces back so that we could keep the game going a while longer. The board is kind of like candyland--you roll the die and put your character where it lands. Sometimes when you land you have an additional step (act out your card, go to rehab, or double your roll) and the cards have different categories that depend on what color square you land on. The drawing board is a little small, but manageable. Our marker dried up on the second use, so I have to get another before we play again.

This game is SO MUCH MORE than you think!! The box itself left me in hysterics and I NEVER in my laugh thought I would say these words to my mother-in-law..."Choose what color butt plug you want"!!! High, high quality game. We actually switched to using a huge marker board and have gone through quite a few dry erase markers lol! ( lots of fury in trying to draw some of this stuff!) we have LEARNED things we never knew the meaning behind and got even more laughter when we had to revert to the Urban Dictionary several times! This is now "the game" in our large family/friend network and all they have to say is.... Don't forget the game!!! Make sure small ears are no where in the vicinity because you will find yourself shouting the most insane things, while laughing your ass off, and not giving a care in the world about if because it is THAT fun!!!
