Aqueon Algae Rounds 3 Ounces

This review is for Aqueon Algae Rounds 3 Ounces. I normally buy Tetra Pro Pleco Wafer but when the price skyrocketed for those I had to try something else. My pleco seems to like this wafer as much as the other one (or maybe more who knows?). These have a mounded shape to them and smell “good”. I’ve been giving my pleco one chip at a time and giving him 2 hours to chomp chomp (as recommended). He watches me drop the wafer and comes by to suck it up. Very fascinating to watch. Anyway, this one is pricey also for 3oz but as long as my pleco enjoys it, I may just switch back and forth to give him some variety in his diet. My dude is about 10 years old now so he’s very special. I like that these rounds do not cloud up my tank. I also notice that my pleco does not leave too much trialing poop in the tank or maybe none at all ever since I’ve switched to them. My tank seems to stay cleaner longer. Overall, these algae rounds seem to be just as good as the Tetra wafers I’ve been giving my pleco. He seems to enjoy them just as much so I’d give them a 5.0/5.0 - 07/17/2026.

My Cory’s love these pellets! They sink right to the bottom and they swim over and gobble them up right away. I assume, based on this, they are delicious, but when I ask the fish, they are too busy chowing down and wont answer! My other tropical fish and shrimp love them as well.

My pleco seems to like it. It was a bit smaller than I expected but it's about what you get in most packages. As soon as they were in, my big pleco Midnight went right over and ate them up. I give him about 3 every couple of days.

Well I mean I guess they are good. Seeing how my plecos and Cory’s like them

I would definitely buy again.. I feel like there's definitely less fillers or feels and smells more natural.. the snails love them but they are had to break so I break them up before I feed so they don't hog them lol it says. Also it says natural ingredients on there. Again I'm sure it's not all but can definitely tell it's more than others I've tried. Worth it to me

My 20 year old plecostamous looks for it every morning. Also have an albino bristle nosed who enjoys it. Good product..

These are large size sinking bottom feeder food, my plecos, and my crawfish love them but they don’t always sink right away and do cause a mess once they break apart..

I bought this because at first I wanted to get some catfish. I ended up not getting them, however everybody in my aquaeiums love these so it didn't go to waste. I have goldfish, ramshorn snails, amano shrimp, and a variety of Neocaridina shrimp (like blue dreams and chocolate diamonds) in several tanks. All of them love this stuff! My goldfish get excited over these while my snails and shrimp just crowd around them within minutes. Definitely a great buy!

my fish seems to love it so I will give 5 stars according to that. no way I will taste it!

My pleco enjoyed these :)

Shrimp absolutely loved this. I would break off a piece and they would swarm it like kids would an ice cream truck.

Good quality product and value. Will buy again.

Fast and my fishes love them
