Muskoka® Signature Series 5 Piece Matte Black Hearth Center

So, I ordered this for my hearth before reading the reviews. They state for the most part this rack is handy because of the tools, and the convenience of a wood rack. Only problem is it's not super sturdy. Listen this is as advertised. Made out of standard grade Chinese steel. It's hollow, not solid in frame structure. The advantages here are light weight and it won't cost an arm and a leg, because less material was used in manufacturing. These guys are most likely getting hit with the 50% import tarrif as well. If you want a super duty solid state cast iron rack, this is not the rack for you. Your going to pay for it though. The space I had in mind for this thing works out well. Tucked between the hearth and a nice solid oak hutch, giving it plenty of support. It just worked out for me, the tools fit nicely and freely. The log grabber tool fits nice and snugly under the shiplapped base of the hearth. I am very pleased with it all together. Mind you I haven't used it very much yet, but the construction and design of the tools appear to be nice and sturdy, with the exception of the broom. It is functional and usable but I imagine over time like any broom of this style it will begin to tatter and fan out. I would say that is more for aesthetics than anything else. All in all it looks real nice together as a set and complements my hearth perfectly.

Really nice product. A little wider than I thought it would be - takes up a fair amount of space on the hearth. It seems to be well made and it will hold a good amount of logs. It was very easy to assemble. I'm dropping the rating from a 5 to a 4 because there are 5 implements and only 4 hooks so you have to hang both brushes on the same hook. I have not yet tried the implement to hold the logs, but it does look a little like it will be a little difficult to get a good grip on the logs due to the shape of the implement.

I bought this to go by our wood stove and it looks great. It doesn't take up much space, is attractive, good quality at a great price and holds enough wood for 3 nights in the PNW (less back east or in snowy conditions). I can stack the wood up high and it works just fine. The tools are not long, so they are perfect for a stove. They may not be a good fit for a large fireplace. I liked the one-piece construction of the tools as they hold up better. It was a piece of cake to put together.

I was hesitant because of some of the reviews but could not find anything of this quality that fit my needs so I took a chance. The metal is excellent quality and easy to assemble. My wood looks neatly piled and the rack is sturdy enough when used with a normal amount of wood. The tools are great with the exception of the brush, it sheds a lot of pieces when used. Either way, an excellent product overall and beautiful with my decor.

This arrived with some minimal assembly to be done. My 7-year old and I put it together without the use of any tools, and it seems pretty sturdy! I thought I'd have to tighten the screws more than we had with our fingers - but so far it's held up well to having wood tossed at it.The tools are very nicely made and solid. They are one piece of metal, so no handles to come loose or fall off. The stand holds about a days worth of wood (or a couple of nights worth). It's a nice size. Some of the others I looked at really were BIG and would dwarf the room. This is a nice size.The straw brush is my only concern - like all straw brushes it litters straw, and I'm concerned eventually we're going to be left with a bald brush! That's probably a few years down the road though.

This fit a bundle and a half of firewood, so that’s pretty good for my use. Item is matte black and comes with 4 tools. It arrived without damage, and was easy enough to put together, however, don’t expect this to be solid. The tubes are hollow, and it is not sturdy (from 1 to 10, it’s a 3 on sturdiness). I do like the way it looks, and do like the little detail on the tools, so I’m keeping it. I’m hoping to maybe find a way to make it sturdier where it is joined together with the screws it came with.

We ordered this to put beside our wood burning stove. I was concerned about it not looking nice, but we needed it. I love what it adds to the space! It is not very large but holds plenty of wood for an evening fire. It comes with two brooms, which I didn't expect and like. We are very pleased with it so far, although I give it a 4/5 stars simply because its a little wobbly when empty.
