Fast working
Often fixes my dog’s foot allergy in one use. I’ll use it and within 24 hours he feels much better. Does not have a strong smell and is really easy to use. It absorbs nicely and works fast.

My DERMagic Experience
Hello all! First of all before I begin my review, I want whoever is reading this to first and foremost know this is MY experience with these products, and every dog’s body, condition and experience will be different. I just wanted to share how it worked for my pup. If you are struggling with this black skin desease or dry skin condition, I highly first recommend you get your dog tested for the following: a blood panel, urinalysis, thyroid testing and adrenal hormone testing. My vet also took some samples of my dogs dry skin to look under a microscope to see if there were any bacteria. I recommend this in order to rule out any other underlying conditions. Based on the results, the veterinarian will recommend treatment. Make sure you do a lot of research before treating your dog. Fortunately for me, all test results came back good and the vet recommended a mousse (which made my dog’s skin dryer and worse). So I took matters into my own hands and did research. I first used the DERMagic Skin Rescue Lotion every day on the BALD SPOTS of my dog and I used the DERMagic Skin Rescue Grooming Spitz on the rest of the body (make sure you spit the hair open so the spray gets onto the dogs skin). After I finished applying I would put on a jump suit and washable diaper on my dog so the product stayed on and wouldn’t rub off while getting on the bed, couches, floor, etc. I used “KOESON Dog Recovery Suit, Dog Onesie” and the diaper was from PetSmart “Top Paw washable diaper.” I would do it every night and in the mornings remove diaper and jumpsuit. Instead of washing my dog once a month I washed her every two weeks. The day before bath, I would cover the dry areas with coconut oil and put on her jumpsuit and diaper for the night. Use extra virgin, organic, cold-pressed unrefined coconut oil. The next day I would wash her using “TropiClean OxyMed Hypo-Allergenic Oatmeal shampoo” then using “DERMagic organic shampoo bar (Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil),” then I would use the “DERMagic Peppermint & Tea Tree Oil Conditioner.” In time her black skin was slowly disappearing and her bald spots was growing back hair. Once she grew out a lot of hair and it looks great, I would just use the spray twice a week and brush her hair out 1-2 times a week. I will continue to wash her twice a month and will be maintaining her coat in great shape. I noticed this condition started as soon as I neglected brushing her hair weekly and now using spray. What also helped was applying salmon oil every day into her diet. I used Zesty Pawls brand. Consistency and patience is key! I’m on month three now of this hard work and it definitely paid off!

If used daily, it does a good job on black skin and hair regrowth.
Our dog has not been able to regrow some of the hair she lost on her tail. Other than that, it's a good product. Dog hates it. It smells awful, and the smell does not go away with washing your hands. It takes several hours for smell to go away.

IT WORKS!
This product works for my Pomeranian! I have gotten her fur to come back in. It is a fuzzy type of fur, kind of puppy fuzz, but she is no longer naked and I am thankful! The only place the fur won't return to is the top of her head. As for the smell, yes the salve smells for a couple days, but it fades and the shampoo actually smells great with the peppermint. I don't use the salve much anymore unless I see a hot spot. I have NEVER had to throw out any blankets or beds, the stuff washes out with laundry detergent so I believe that person complaining about the floors and bedding is exaggerating or has an over sensitive nose. I also have changed dog food. I tried Avoderm for a while and she ate it but not happily. Then I tried Blue Buffalo she picked out the vitamin parts and ate the other kibble, again without gusto. Now I have her on Bil Jac and she loves it. It has chicken and sweet potato in it. I believe that the food and the DerMagic have made my baby well! I hate steroids. Had a Chow that had to be on them for dermatitis as a young dog and I lost him to kidney failure when he was about 10. All my other Chows lived to 14-15 years old. I HATE STEROIDS FOR THAT REASON!

SMELLS HORRIBLE! Pomeranian w/slow hair growth after summer haircut - placebo effect?
Gave dog a summer cut in July - (he does not have alopeciaX/black skin disease) but 6 months later and my pom still has patches (mostly body/back area) that are as short as the day they were cut - so reviews said this worked really well. The ingredients are pretty harmless - sesame oil, aloe, lanolin, sulfur, beeswax, rosemary oil, shea butter - and the unknown ingredients at the bottom of the list: tocopheryl acetate, carrageenan potassium sorbate, and citric acid. I put it on my dog - it's pretty thick - so I had to use tons of it just to get to the skin - and it basically felt like I was putting hand lotion on his coat. so most if it was in the coat, and harder to get to skin below. I also had to cover him with a little shirt - first time I cut up an old t-shirt and he didn't seem to mind - and let it sink in overnight. The directions say to apply twice daily for first week. Well - my dog is only 7 pounds, and there wouldn't be enough product to cover him but maybe 2 or 3 times total. I was game to reapply the next day, but poor baby, he stunk so bad from it - I just didn't even want to cuddle with him, or have him in bed with me... not good. He rubs all around after applied, I'm sure if it smells bad to me it really stinks to his more sensitive nose. So he got a good bath the next day. Did not reapply after bath. Gave it a few days... Strange thing is his coat does appear to be 'waking up' and growing a bit more though - not sure if its the timing (winter weather), the more frequent bathing, or just that his coat is growing naturally. I brush him religiously - sometimes 2ce a day as he sits in my lap. They say 2 years for hair/coat to grow after cut - esp. on a dense undercoat (more like fur - not hair) on dog like mine (pomeranian). The fur is a little longer in some places - So it could be working - or it could be coincidence... not sure. Anyway I decided to apply a 2nd time today - and put a doggie sweater over him so he didn't get that funky lotion all over the house. I also like Chris Christianson shampoos/conditioners. Maybe its the shampoo/conditioner that is helping - heck I don't know. I guess it was worth it to try it, but I don't expect to buy it again. Too stinky and not enough product to follow the product instructions. Funny thing - the picture on the bottle is of a pomeranian too.... ironic. Might be okay for small patches - or bald dogs - but for trying to help slow hair/fur/undercoat growth - this is not really ideal. I'd need like a gallon of this stuff to follow their instructions on the bottle. And my dog would probably hide from me everytime I called him... ! lol

My German shepherd pup had an advanced case of fungal infection, demodectic mange and parvo virus. After intensive medical treatment he was left with a few bald spots with lumpy parches. After 3 days of using this, all the lumps have gone, the areas have shrunk and are smooth with new fur growth. Very impressed and relieved. C

Really wish I could give this product ten stars as it is fantastic. I have one dog with a flea allergy and one flea bite is enough to drive him into overdrive and he gnaws himself really badly where the welt appears from the bite making a very large raw patch but I used this for the first few days every time I saw him go towards the area and although he screamed as I put it on (it was so raw) within a minute he relaxed and you could see no more pain. I then reduced it to twice a day as per instructions. Miracle was using it so often that within five days it had completely healed and even the scabs were coming off. One to keep in the fur kid medicine cabinet.
