We wanted to customize the bench in our camper and did it with a lift table using these brackets. When we opened the package, one of the brackets sprang open and would not stay closed. Easy fix is to use masking tape to hold the bracket in the down position while installing the brackets. After we installed the brackets and the bench top, the brackets stayed closed when the bench was down. We looked at other brackets that had stabilizing bars, but opted for this set of brackets. We were not disappointed. It was surprisingly sturdy. The best way to install the brackets to the base and the top is to: 1. First attach the closed brackets to your base with only two screws. Make sure that the top of the bracket will be flush with your table top. 2. Place your table top over the brackets, aligning the top where the brackets will be screwed into the top. Make pencil marks that align with the holes where the screws will go in. 3. Take the brackets off the base and align the brackets to the top where you just marked the holes with the pencil and screw the brackets to the top. 4. Now that you have the brackets secured to the top, use the same holes to screw the brackets back into the base and secure the bracket with the rest of the screws. This has made such a nice addition to the camper. You can install this with one person, but it goes so much better with two people.

It was complicated to install for me but only because I struggled with determining exactly where to place the hinges. I got the job done and I'm super happy with how it turned out. This chest lid is heavy but the lift hinges hold it up well and it does not wobble. This is a nice item and priced well. It's doing exactly what I had hoped it would. Highly recommend!

These are great. Very strong, well built... but I got 2 of the same side. I bought them a few months back for a project I had ahead of me, and put them aside. Now that I need them, they won't work. I have nothing negative to say about them besides the mismatch. I have come up with a project that will use these, and bought a properly matched set for my original.

Nice paint!! But Absolute junk! Won't stay closed by themselves they are not equally loaded and bent and failed after 6 months. More Chinesium crap from Amasuck.

Heavy duty, good value

They can support a decent amount of weight. They are a little difficult to install accurately depending on the application. One thing to o keep in mind is that they are mounted independently and the farther apart they are the more resistance you will have as they may try to actuate individually. Basically they are flexible and may try to fight each other while in motion but it really is not a problem. Overall I am really happy with the product and how simpe it made my project.

I love these lifts. I took a toy box that at one point I gave away but no one would come and pick it up. I didn’t want to throw the solid wood toy box out it just needed some tender loving care. I have tons of quilts I needed a quilt box and my son needed a TV tray. So I turned the toy box into a quilt box TV tray and it looks awesome. My son loves the repurposed toy box.

These were perfect to DIY our own lift top coffee table out of an old cedar chest! Definitely need two people for install, but holding up great and is heavy duty! Would recommend again!
