I fell in love with the series on prime and immediately wanted to read the book, but there’s no English edition! I literally just purchased by the German version and translated it via the translating feature on kindle. Took forever! But the book was really good! If you like the show, you’ll like the book!

I really loved the series on Prime! Thought oh wait is this a book series! Books always better! Then there tons of different versions but not English. So now I can’t read it 😔

I found out about the series through primes show. I'm obsessed! So much so that it feels unfair that I can't continue on 😭IF a season 2 is confirmed it'd help a lot however I'd absolutely love to experience the audiobook. I've been seeing a lot of ppl requesting so hopefully it gets recognized and comes to fruition. It like physically hurts that I can't continue 💔 🤣

3.5 starsI picked this book up after rapidly binging through season one of the adaptation on Amazon called, "Maxton Hall".As there is currently no English edition published, I bought this book on Kindle and utilized the translation tool by translating half a page at a time from German to English. Time consuming? Maybe. Worth it? I think so.To be honest, aside from a few errors with identifiers (her, him, I, they, them, etc.) I don't really think there was much lost in translation. I still easily understood the story and had an overall good reading experience.With that being said, I do think, surprisingly, that I like the adaptation MORE than the book. The book really does come across as more angsty and in the same vein as "Gossip Girl", "Pretty Little Liars", or "After". If you enjoy that level or style of drama in a book, then definitely pick this book up but it isn't typically what I would prefer to read.This book, aside from a few additional moments at the end, captures the first season of the show and they both end at a similar point. I will be continuing to read this series as I'm curious to see the direction it goes in and I also have a prediction that I would like confirmed or denied.With the popularity of the show, I expect this series to be published in an English translation at some point soon so if you are interested you may not have to wait very long.
