Just What An Avid Reader Needs -- A Good Reading Lamp
I read a lot, and my bedroom is way too dark even during daylight hours for me to read without a lamp. I had finally replaced my big living room lamp with a much-smaller desk lamp only to find after several months of use that I suddenly was not able to turn it on. I went to Amazon as I always do and found this little beauty. I loved the color that I even ordered a small clock in much the same color. It hardly seemed more than the next day when the new lamp arrived. I put a bulb in, plugged it into the wall socket, and turned the lamp on. Real bright, and a very good size for my tray table. Now I can read again without using the room light. The lamp is light, easy to maneuver into position and aim the light where I want it. It seems sturdy on the base and I find it is easy to turn on by the switch on the cord. Another product I am happy to have ordered.

Cool retro desk lamp. Use an LED bulb!
Love the look of this retro desk lamp. It's weighty so it won't tip over. The flexible neck is solid and stiff so the light will stay where you aim it. Switch on the cord is convenient. Mine came with a hairline scratch on the base and a bunch of really hairline ones on the green hood that appear to have been caused in the manufacturing process, but the coolness of the lamp outweighs them.I made the mistake of buying these unreliable bulbs: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HJ73I6/ when I first got this lamp. One kept turning on and off and the other one eventually fell out of its socket while someone was cleaning it. Today I picked up an Ecosmart 40w replacement 300 lumens LED fan bulb (the frosted round traditional light bulb shaped one, not the pointy one) from Home Depot for under 10 bucks and it works great. Plus it gives off much less heat so the warning of fire risk sticker isn't as scary. You can see the tip of the bulb through the green transparent edge if you don't angle the light almost fully down though (The bulbs I used before stuck out 1.75 inches, the one I just got sticks out 2.5 inches), so if you think that will bother you you might want to find a smaller bulb. I kind of like it because that makes it look like the bulb is green.Be warned that if you remove the fire warning sticker that they stupidly put inside the hood so that you can see it if the light isn't angled straight down that some of the silver coating inside the hood might fleck off. Better than looking at the sticker though!

Weird and Wonderful
Cute. Weird. Green. Why?Different. Functional. Sturdy, like a friend you're glad is there. This lamp has a Metal base and a strong chrome colored flexible neck that allows you to point it where you need light. This lamp is kind of quirky, color-wise which is what makes it fun and unique.

cute but it shorted when I put the bulb in
It looked super cute but when I put the bulb in it shorted and broke. I put in the correct bulb as stated on the instructions so I dont know hwy it shorted.

Looks really cute but arrived with multiple scratches on the shade
Multiple scratches on the plastic shade makes it look really bad when it's turned on. I've uploaded a picture. Would have to return it.

Good product for the price
The lamp is good, does it job well and is cheap. The only complaint I have is that the light switch is not ready to find each time. In the dark, to turn it on, I first have to find the chord and run along it to find the switch. Then try turning it one way, if it doesn't, then turn the other way. But I am getting used to it.

Nice design for kids
Good product. Flexible lamp, nice color, very ergonomic. Friendly design for kids. Doesn't take much space. Not expensive. If it was just a little bit taller, it would be perfect in my opinion. Otherwise, very good lamp. My kids use it every day.

Works as it should
This lamp is lightweight, yet strong and illuminates well. These inexpensive, smart looking lamps were a perfect solution for me. Easy to change bulb, easy to install, great illumination.
