Highest quality towels I have seen in my 40 years as a homemaker.
These towels are beautiful. They are super absorbent, and leave absolutely no lint on glassware. The colors are bright and pretty, and the quality is exceptional. My Step-Daughter's Grandmother has some of these towels that she says she has had for more than 30 years! I believe it, because she is like me in that she doesn't throw away anything just because it's old. Hers have no holes, the hems are still in perfect condition and they are still as absorbent as mine from what I can tell. I'd used them at her house many times and didn't realize when I ordered my Harringdon Towels that they were the same ones she has until I saw the colors of the stripes. Hers are not quite white anymore, so I am going to suggest she order some Rit Whitening Powder for them. These towels are also nice and big, but fold nicely, or roll as I do to fit in my kitchen drawer. I am so pleased that Harringdons still makes the same quality they did those many years ago.I do suggest washing them alone, or only with other items that have no lint, IOW not terrycloth, as it gets on them and is very difficult to remove. I made that mistake when I first got them by washing them with my new dishcloths and had to brush all of the lint off and use a tape-roller to remove the rest. It was worth it though, as now they are like they are supposed to be and I won't make that mistake again. I highly recommend these for anyone. Quality like this is not easy to find these days, but this company still apparently believes in making their products with the same care they did 30 years ago. Thank You Harringdons.-This next paragraph is an edit, because as I was using them today I thought it a good time to let others know how they've lasted.I bought these towels in 2017. I still use them daily. They are a little stained, because I use them to dry Herbs and Fruit. Funny that the stains are also pretty, being the color of herbs and berries! They are still absorbent, have no holes or hems coming out. Right now they are on sale, so anyone looking should get them now. I'm so glad Amazon still carries them. I use the different colors for different things. I live in the Desert Mountains, so it's very dusty no matter how often I vacuum or dust. I use the Purple to cover my dish drainer & to dry dishes, the Turquoise to drain Herbs & Berries, and to cover dough and cooling cakes etc. I use the Gold to dry my hands and counters. They dry dishes better than any towels I have ever had. They polish while they dry. They are thin enough to dry the inside of nice glasses & hold onto the lid of my large Stu Pan when drying, without dropping it while they easily dry the inside rims. I honestly can not say enough about what a value they are, and how pleased I am for purchasing them in the first place. I bought my Daughters sets as gifts, and I'm glad to say they still use theirs also. None of them have been moved to the rag drawer for use in my Garden.

Great Quality, Great Performance
This is my second time ordering these -- the first set lasted through five years of hard labor and as the last survivor shifted to the rag drawer I vowed to get new ones -- so happy they are still available. They look clean and elegant, and are amazing for every kitchen task. However, even once worn and stained as inevitably happens (in my kitchen anyway) they transition brilliantly to dusting, cleaning, and eventually silver polishing etc. They are lint-free, soft cotton, and very high quality.

These can look nice or be hard-working absorbent. Pick one.
The media could not be loaded. Let me set expectations. You need to choose up front how you will use these towels. Pick one: display, where they look nice and neat, or “pick up the mess”, hard working towels. I need to wipe counters and our glass top oven with no streaks and no lint. I’ll throw these on spills, I’ll pick up spilled food, squeeze almond milk, dry sink-washed spinach, dry wine glasses, and everything else you could imagine in the kitchen. If they look half way decent, bonus. I will beat up my kitchen towels with high heat washing, bleach and dryers. I need super clean towels because I use them near food.I had originally bought a pack of shop towels from a big box store, but they ended up being a blend of poly and cotton, so they had no absorbency, and left lint everywhere, they were cheap though, so I had a drawer full of them. They were not great, but did help reduce paper towels. But I was ready for an upgrade to completely stop using paper.I now have a drawer full of these, I use up to 6-8 a day. And these are great. Check my video for absorbency. You can get streak-free dry with just a few wipes. The cotton is a nice tight weave, I could tell out of the package that once they were washed, these would be absorbent. With that said, if you want absorbent, you will trade the nice neat look of these. If you want absorbency, you need to wash them with high temp water, use a pre-soak like borax and bleach or bleach alternative. You need to tighten up the weave and get rid of all the sizing that keeps the fabric soft and pliable. But of course that’s the trade, the cotton comes out of the dryer a bit more stiff, and wrinkly. If you want to clean up the kitchen, no worries, if you want to use them as table napkins, we’ll then you will be disappointed. See my picture with edge wrinkles, you can never really iron them out once they do that. I don’t care, I’m keeping the kitchen clean with these. They are versatile, absorbent, lint-free, they seem durable (haven’t had them long enough to see how the stitching holds, but again, that’s not an important thing for me), they will wrinkle, they will most likely fade with the high heat washes and dries. They probably shrank, but I don’t need them to be perfectly square or wrinkle free.

VERY pleased - great quality and value ... even six years later.
UPDATE (2022) - We've had these towels for over six years now and they are STILL GREAT!! They're in constant rotation and daily use and they've held up incredibly well. Still super absorbent, no lint, no shrinking or curling at the edges, look great. We've even found that the three colors are useful for distinguishing among different purposes. Have never before updated an Amazon review so many years later, but these towels have performed so well, for so long, that they're worthy of updated praise.(Original review - 2016) Just what we were looking for - these are large, soft, absorbent dish towels with a nice weight and attractive herringbone weave. Much better quality than most of what's out there. They also launder very well. Only issue is that we'd have preferred to be able to get these towels in just one or two of the three color options (one of them just doesn't go well in our kitchen), but no doubt we'll find a good use for that third color. Definitely recommend.
