Omega OneCichlid Flakes, 5.3 oz, Pack of 2

My Central and South American Cichlids ( red devil, red terror, oscar, convict, red tiger moto, salvini, red Texas, Jack Dempsey, blue Texas and red wolf cichlids) all love this flake. All will eat the flakes while some won't eat pellets, so that tells me alot! The flakes don't really dirty up water as long as they eat them fast enough. I would recommend it to cichlid owners!

I’ve got African Mbuna and they are currently juveniles. They were basically fry when I purchased them. Bought these flakes as a fry/juvenile food until they are big enough to handle pellets, and the lower amount of protein is good to prevent Malawi bloat. Quite disappointed in the quality of flakes. They are basically pulverized and are tiny crumbs. I prefer big flakes that I can then crumble myself to feed to my fish. That being said almost all my Mbuna readily accept them and whatever portions I’m putting in are being eaten. Just a word of advice to newbies, flake food is fine as a supplement and especially good for juveniles and small fish, but as fish grow they def need the nutritional value that is supplied from pellets. As my Mbuna grow I’ll still use this as a supplement a couple times a week but I feed my fish almost exclusively NLS. In my opinion that is the premium food on the market.

Honestly, How in the hell do I know enough to rate the INGREDIENT QUALITY? And god help me if I can ever rate the FLAVOR. The fish eat it, and don't die. Cannot ask for more than that.

My fish love these flakes! The price is great considering the 12oz tub of food will last a very long time for me! So, it’s definitely worth it!!The thing I like the most about this particular brand is the ingredients!! There is low Ash & less fillers, fish meal, starch, etc. This makes it much much more healthier food for my fish & they ACTUALLY get WHOLE ingredients, vitamins, & more, that they need!This product has FRESH seafood, WHOLE ingredients, & vitamins! ✔️✔️✔️Shipping, packaging, etc. was all around spot on.Will purchase again!

Flakes were pretty pulverized and hard. Many clumped together as if moisture got in, although seal seemed intact.Only flake food I've received like this, going right in the garbage, not going to feed this to my fish.Money wasted, lesson learned.Poor or no quality control it appears.

Filled up my fish feeders for my trip and idk if this is normal but the food smells and is all.crumbs however I know this.brand is good for my babies so I decided to buy the pellets instead and mix the flakes with pellets , hopefully there pellets are better lol ! I usually get nutrition diet cichlid probiotic formula and the flakes are huge and dont stink idk wanted to try the omega brand deff more for my $$$

Good value for the container size esp if compared to store prices. Mine arrived flaky, not in crumbs like many other reviewers. Glad I bought it. I'm switching my African cichlids over to this from the Omega One freshwater flakes, and they seem perfectly happy with the transition.

The food is ok but it could hardly be called flakes as it was basically powder.
