The quiet life of devoted couple Red (Nicolas Cage, Leaving Las Vegas) and Mandy (Andrea Riseborough, Birdman) takes a dark and bizarre turn when a nightmarish cult and their maniacal leader (Linus Roache, “Vikings”) seek to possess Mandy…body and soul. A shocking assault on the innocent pair leads to a spiraling, surreal, bloody rampage of all out, mind-altering vengeance. “Certainly not for the faint of heart” (The Hollywood Reporter), Mandy is “a primal, psychedelic rage-scream of a movie” (Slash Film).

An Absolute Experience
This is one of the single best movies I’ve ever seen, it’s actually so beautiful to watch as well.

Totally unexpected!
One of those films where you are not quite sure whether you watch and when you do, it turns out to be a great film! Highly recommend taking the time to watch this film.

watch it.
Cage doing Cage but totally in context this time so a joy to watch. Great story, very trippy. I love it, this is a good version with all the extras, poster, booklet, hard cover. Main thing is the film which was one of my favourites of that year. Very re watchable. If you like a film with lots of exposition and linear narrative this isn't one for you but I would still suggest it. Genre wise it is like the directors other move (Beyond The Black Rainbow) uncharacterisable! Psychological, 'horror', psychedelic, art house, low brow, violent, brilliance. Riseborough is brilliant (is she ever anything else?) Linus Roache is exceptional, lots of great performances elsewhere in the cast, no duds, great character portraits from everyone involved. If you don't like Cage will this convert you? I doubt it but the movie is so good will it matter?

Stuck with me
If I'm still thinking about a film months after I've watched it then it's done its job.

It's a mad Nick Cage film
What star rating does this film deserve? I could have given it a 1star or a 5star. Either its your sort of thing and your in the mood or your not. Featuring LSD fueled biker gangs, a religious cult and swordfighting with chainsaws. I cant say this is any kind of cinematic masterpeace but on the other hand after the scenes set it is full on.

The Cheddar Goblin Is Still Out There 🧀👺
I loved it visually some absolutely suberb looking scenes and also pretty well acted for most parts. It is very strange story wise but once Nic Cages crazy kicks in Mandy goes to a whole new level of wierd but in a very entertaining sort of way. Overall 8/10
