My only advice is to replace both fans, even if you have an issue with only one, you have the laptop open anyways. I replaced only one, a month after the second fan had issues and I have to reopen the laptop again which took some time :(

The were a perfect fit to replace the OEM fans whose bearings were gone. Reasonable price and quick delivery.

Fit in my Alienware 17R4 (GTX 1070) I bought these because my original GPU fan was on its way out after about 5 years and was making an extremely loud grinding noise that was quite worrisome. When it started, I stopped using the computer because I was afraid of damage. These replacements fit perfectly in my Alienware 17R4 (GTX 1070), but these fans are loud! Like very loud! I don't know if the set that I got is defective, but they are almost as loud as the one I got these to replaced! All my diagnostics say that they are working as intended, and that they are performing well, but I've never had a set of new fans be this loud. It's not really a bad thing, but it leads me to wonder if these will have issues and not last as long as they should.

I bought this product because my last cpu fan went bad this one works great as a replacement.

The fans themselves look good, installed relatively easily, and worked well--until they didn't. I turned on my Alienware 17 after not using it for some time (it's been relegated to a spare), and the system told me the VGA fan had failed. I checked, and sure enough, the video fan wasn't running. I've owned the fans for 3 months, but the computer itself is rarely used. Maybe they would have lasted longer if I used it more. The price is good, but having to replace the fans over and over makes them no bargain.

I would have given this product a 5/5, but the packaging was not adequate for the fans. They were not damaged in shipment luckily but the box was torn a bit and the bubble wrap was popped. The fans are dirrect replacement, fit as intended and did not need additional modification to fit. Worked perfectly and are correct for the Alienware 17 R4. Had the packaging been a bit better I would be 100% satisfied.

Excellent fans for dell alienware 17 r4, I'm very pleased. Packaging is worrying indeed but if there any damage I assume returning is assured with Amazon.

Wasn't sure if this would be the right replacement for my Alienware fan that decided to become a jet engine (in sound anyway). Fitted perfectly and my machine is quietly doing it's business once again. Quick delievery and well packaged. Would purchase from again.

I was facing lot of issues in Alienware 17 R4 stock fans. This is perfect replacement of stock fans, built is premium for such cost and very low noise on full throttle. Received 5 days earlier than expected.
