There is an circular area near the rear that looks like it would open to hold items inside - it doesn't. That is disappointing. Otherwise, it is comfortable and fast.

Missing paddles!!!

I ordered this kayak on 4/12/18; it arrived badly damaged with the packaging destroyed. I ordered a replacement for the 1st kayak on 4/18/18; it arrived badly damaged with no packaging. I ordered a replacement for the 2nd kayak on 5/8/18; it arrived today, 5/15/18 with gouges in the bow and a hole in the bottom with no packaging. It appeared to have been used for months or years.

Love this kayak! For some it may be too long, too wide, too heavy, but for me I am really pleased with the way it handles in the water. It is very stable and tracks well for a 16 footer. I don't need scupper plugs as it stays really dry in the water. I would advise getting a 2 wheel kayak cart to haul it to the launch from your car. It is quite a bit heavier after you pull it out of the water and before you have a chance to drain it. I mounted a kayak pulley in my garage ceiling and it is just about all that can handle especially trying to pull it high enough to clear my garage door when up. Get a couple of dry bags and you don't even need to mess with the unfinished storage ports. If you really want a tandem, and I think you have to really want one, then this is a good one!

The new carrying handles are nice because they are integrated into the boat, but are placed too far forward and too far back to grab at the same time. The seats and seat clips are made of cheap plastic that regularly breaks and are too tall to stack or to put upside down on top of a vehicle. The seats themselves are not accommodating to larger paddlers. The cupholder bungee breaks immediately and is of no use for holding anything. Bilge holes in size and number are adequate. The new stern and bow on this model track better than past models, but are slightly taller, so take into consideration for storage purposes. Overall, an okay boat.

We have ours for over a year now and use for salt-water paddling. We love it and it just flies over the water, and handles the waves well especially bow-in. Despite its on-land weight--a bit heavy, it feel light and fast on the water. While it's not geared for single paddling I find it works surprisingly well and is still very fast, though the bow raises a bit. My wife, who won't get into a canoe, has become a total kayak convert!Cons: The bow carrying handle did come apart, but was easily fixed because the knots inside it just need to be properly tied. As said by others, the carrying handles are too far apart for one person to grab

Works as advertised. Best ontop kayak I have bought. Comfortable and fast.

Stable and pretty quick. Easily travels 4 knots with two people paddling.
